Think the black one will be $350
In other words, DO NOT get the new Black Series S when it comes out, because it will be $350 vs. the $200 XSS 512 GB and $500 XSX (maybe a bit less).

The lower capacity SSD is a hassle, but not an insurmountable problem.
I would still go with this deal. $200 for 512 GB vs $350 for 1 TB, that's paying $150 for an extra 512 GB. Even with the overpriced expandable memory from Seagate/WD, you can get a 1TB card for $150

If you can wait, I would get the new Black Series S when it comes out. 512GB is not a lot of storage with the game sizes going up. If not, this is a decent deal, but I believe the floor for refurbished is $149.

That is correct, but I wouldn't recommend there Series S if you could easily afford the Series X. If you can't the Series S is a great option. With only 512GB you could run out of space with only 3 games installed.

Does anyone know if they're going to release a Starfield special edition Xbox Series X or does the fact that they didn't announce it over the weekend mean it's definitely not happening?

I want to get a 2nd Xbox for my den but I was hoping they'd release a special edition Starfield one. If they're definitely not going to then I might just get a refurbished Series S like this one.

"Xbox console exclusive Starfield will be locked to 30fps on Xbox Series X and S, Bethesda's Todd Howard has confirmed. On Xbox Series X, it will run at 4K resolution. On Xbox Series S, it will run at 1440p."

Oh man, I would love a Starfield Series X! I wanted the Halo one so bad but it was impossible to buy with all the scalpers and the limited supply.

I thought about the Series S as a portable Xbox that I could bring from room to room or a friend's place. But now I just picked up the Asus ROG Ally and that is a beast! I can use that as my PC Game Pass rig. Sure, it's only really a 1080P machine but it's so portable.

Just make sure you understand shipping for Monoprice. I ordered this with overnight shipping last Friday and will not be getting it until tomorrow(Tuesday). They do not ship after 2 PM and they are not open on weekends.

Remember this is Refurbished vs New, I couldn't see the New Black Series S going to $200 refurbished as well.

I remember when Monoprice used to ship from California and super fast for hardly any cost. As long as I ordered my DVD-Rs before 2pm, I would have them the next morning.
