Back on sale, at it's every couple of weeks $79.99 price point.
Would be nice if we could get that $15 coupon to attach to this price as we did back in Oct.

Decent camera - it records all sorts of stupid crap that goes on out there on the road. Wink

Now just need to find a matching slickdeal on a 256GB SD card to go with it.

Oh, a question for prior buyers of this???

Has anyone bought the light filter that goes with this and can speak to whether it's really worth it?? looking for real world advice from those who have tested out their own videos with and without the filter. There's YouTube video's...but looking at fellow SD'er thoughts/reviews!

Keepa reports this goes down to this price regularly, at least monthly. Luke warm deal if you really need one now.

But I would go for the dual-cam setup. This won't catch some moron rear-ending you and then jackrabbiting. Been there, done that.

Definitely reduces glare, just like polarizing sunglasses.

Thanks for raising this question! I got one last time and used it on a trip recently and there was significant glare during the day and at night. I too am interested in getting feedback on a good CPL for this dash cam or potentially other solutions to the problem.

One YouTuber has created a "shield" from some black cardboard that hung slightly below the camera which seemed to also work, but CPL would look cleaner.

I would get separate rear cam. Probably the WM1 and they go on sale for $80 on lightning deal almost every other week.
My previous rear cam in dual cam setup died silently, just black lines.

This works only if you have a power outlet in the back. i.e. some SUVs. Plus, buying 2 SD cards and checking them, and turning the back one on and off all the time.

Also, was the one you had a Viofo or some crap brand like Aukey?

Apples and oranges, then. A Blackvue is not a Viofo.

Blackvue is even more premium iirc. But either ways I would have separate dashcams. Even if one catapult, you have something else in standby.

Blackvue is no longer the leader and is not worth the price difference IMHO. Its stuff is just not worth the premium price anymore: VIOFO has pulled ahead and has been much faster to incorporate new tech at a much lower price.

Spoiler: VIOFO wins.

A139 Pro: Best current dashcam hands down.

Not exactly a deal for the same sony sensor. i know it was featured on Linus but they all got the same sensor. I run a fleet of 4 vehicles with the 70mai 2.7K and no problem so far.

Incorrect. The only one acceptable to him was the VIOFO. All the others were crap brands with the same fuzzy non-Sony CMOS and firmware.

Can current users let me know which brand/type of SD cards to buy based on your experience? See a lot of info on how SD cards can fail in dashcams.
