Wonder if I could buy one (45mm RED) that I don't care for, leave it in box, and exchange it when others come in stock?

Series 7 will never come back in stock. It's surprising they still have some for shipping, not just limited to stores.

So....I guess I could live with a RED. Not going to get a better deal than this likely. Meh.

I ordered one of the 45mm series 7 in black before they went out of stock. Just wondering if it's worth it over the 44mm SE with Wi-Fi+cellular that's currently being shipped to me from Walmart for $179. Thoughts?

I guess it really depends on if you value cellular. I don't personally, but man I wish I'd scored the 45mm in black.

Thanks! Took another look and got a $229 S7 GPS only Black for Local Pickup at a store 30 min away - not my closest but doable.

Did finally snag a black 45mm. Happy. Had in-stock notifications on, took probably 10 attempts throughout the day.
