I hope you'll be back soon and better than ever.
I think I'll give SD another try. I can hear all the groans already...

I accomplished a lot last night at CVS. One more day and I'll be out. I don't want to be but it's the best thing to do before my surgery.

Has anybody done the vitamin deal at Wags? Is that 15/30 and 10/25 stack really going to work? What did you get? I'm having lots of vitamin issues and my doctor wants me to try multivitamin pills. I have plenty of gummies but no pills so this deal will be perfect for me if it works.

Unfortunately, my vitamin deal won't work so I'm back to my previous plan with Wags which is avoidance lol.

I'm going to sign off from here for a little bit. I went to my doctor's appointment on Thursday and they called another code on me and took me by ambulance to the ER. I stayed overnight and they did a bunch of tests on me and they let me go home late Friday afternoon. I missed two great days of RA shopping because of the hospital stay. I tried to shop yesterday but it was a total fail. The new drugs are worse than the old ones. They initially thought that I had another heart attack because of my troponin level but when it stabilized they thought it was heart failure but then I passed the stress test and echo so I don't know what it was. I was retaining water so they gave me a Lasix IV. Guys, you never want that. You'll be living in the bathroom for the next 24 hours. I've never peed so much in my life. I probably lost 10 pounds. As part of the stress test, they give you a generic version of Boost. I had the vanilla one. It actually wasn't that bad warm and I'm sure that it's better cold. I have a mountain of Boost here and I might start drinking it. I have a lot going on in the next few weeks including surgery at the end of the month. I may have another surgery sooner if I take a test that they want me to do but I think that I'm going to pass for now. One surgery is enough to think about. I'll come back when I recover from my surgery and I'm able to shop again. I need to spend all of my store money this week because I don't know how long that I'll be out for. I wish there was a way to put it on hold. RA should have a way to convert Bonus Cash back to points which would give me 3 months before I had to spend it. A month seems like a long time but it's not when you have medical issues. Since RA is a drugstore, they should factor this in. This is just my opinion. Please nobody fight me about this lol. There are way too many fights on here. Maybe it's because they deals are so bad and everybody is stressed out about it. Or the weather. It's been absolutely miserable. Or how high the prices are on everything. It's crazy. I have to take out a loan to eat at McDonald's. Pretty soon the basic cheeseburger will be 10 bucks and it will still taste awful.
How is RA doing returns these days? Not an ideal way to park your money for a bit but I have done it before when a long break was necessary and I didnt have the notice to spend down.

There's a 10/50 coming on the 27th and my surgery is on the 29th. That gives me 2 days to shop unless I have to do something special to prep for the surgery. My plan is to roll everything which will give me another 30 days. If that's not enough time then I'll either be dead or close to it and the Bonus Cash won't matter much. I'll put a family member in charge and say take everybody and spend every penny. It's around $1000 so they should have some fun. My biggest regret about the last time that I lost my store money was that I didn't set something up and it all expired. You have to have a plan before something bad happens. When you're recovering from surgery, you can't do it. I wanted to but when I said here take the money she said what do I do and I couldn't explain it.

Anything y'all refuse to buy unless it's on sale or BOGO?

ETA: I made my one trip to town yesterday and went to Sam's early. There are only 2 lines that take cash (green money) and one of those wouldn't check us out until it was 10am, as Sam's sets early hours for plus memberships. Five of us in line, none with plus memberships. Cashier gets paid to stand there I guess and wait until 10 to do anything. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
Dontknow if it's the register that won't allow it or the cashier with an attitude.
Hi Tn Actually I think probably 95% of my purchases are only when something is on sale and with a Q, or rebate, etc.
The cashier at Sam's can enter something (perhaps manager's numbers, she had to get someone to help her) and it will let you checkout, if they want to.

I'm the same way when it comes to shopping, gotta be on sale, unless it's produce (pretty much never on sale). I've never done rebates, or whatever cash back apps, as I'm old school and technology challenged. I don't think the Sam's cashier wanted to be helpful. Dontknow

That's insane. She must be a former Target employee...

We're getting pushed out the door and it's not right. I'll bet there's a lot of people out there like us. Somebody should take advantage of this market. You can't just go into the store and shop anymore. You have to do all of this crap on the computer in order to get anything close to a deal. I have a little niche of deals that I do at CVS where I gain ecb's every week but I have nothing to spend the ecb's on because all of the other deals require printables (which I also don't do) and a rebate. It used to be that I could buy Coke with my ecb's because CVS was one of the cheapest places around but now they are the most expensive. They must think that we're really dumb with these buy 2 get 1 free deals where they double the price of the items that you pay for.

I'm in the same club as you two. I do print coupons, and do some deals (lately Wag's pick up orders) online, but don't use smartphone apps or do rebates, etc.

Years ago, in the late half of the 70's, there were many rebates, but you had to cut out the UPC's from packages and send in by mail. Then they would send you a check in the mail. There was a good little newspaper I subscribed to,, I believe it was called "Refundle Bundle". It had all the refund/rebates listed in it. Miss those simple days!!

When I saw that select Kroger locations in Nashville was going self checkout ONLY, I thought of the little old men and women that care barely push a cart, let alone checkout their own groceries. My heart breaks when I see them put something back cause they can't afford something. Side note, what about the folks shopping with multiple small kids and a full grocery buggy. Kroger obviously not thinking of them.

I can do Digital Coupons for Kroger and Publix, but that's about the extent of it. No cash back apps.

I'm pretty sure that I got that magazine too for a bit. Recycle bin diving was always a way to have extra $$ sent my way.

Glad to know I'm not alone in this camp. High Five

My mom subscribed to the Refundle Bundle for a while. I loved the name.

Add me to the club. I'm so old school that I refuse to get a cell phone much less a smart phone, never had one and I've said I'll never get one but the way things are going not sure I'll be able to hold out forever. Now a days everything is 'app this' or 'app that' and everyone wants to send texts which I obviously don't get on my simple land land. I'm going to a new dental office next month and they were automatically going to text me all the info, etc. Thankfully the person I made the appointment with happened to mention this so I told her I don't get texts and she replied she could send the info to me via email. Since I haven't gotten an email, I have no clue if I ever will. Who knows, they probably went ahead and texted the info to me, lol. Maybe I'll give them another call.

I stopped dumpster diving when I spilled orange paint from the papers all over me and then was attacked by black widow spiders. The only thing that I missed out on was the guard dog...

I do dig through the post office recycling if I happen to be there in the evening (lobby is open 24 hours and there is a drop-box thing for packages). I'm sure they have me on camera and laugh at me. I don't do it that often, mostly when there is a specific coupon I want multiples of.
