Raos fans, did you see it is now part of Campbells? Is it going to taste like Prego soon?

I read the CEO has committed to keeping the flavor difference(s).

Last I heard, Campbells uses Jersey Tomatoes (THEEE Best!!) for their tomato soup. I'm hoping that since its local (NJ) maybe price of Rao's would go down in our supermarkets if transportation $$ is less. But, I don't know where its produced.

I haven't been outside since 6am yesterday. Usually, I can hear the rain and wind but so far I haven't heard anything. The web says that it's raining very hard right now. I'm going to look outside at 6am and see if it's possible to get to the grocery store which is very close to me. I'm hoping to go shopping this afternoon since I have some ecb's that are at the end of the grace period. I can't take my regular route to CVS because of the danger of flash flooding so I'll have to go on the freeway if it's open. I have my pre-surgery appointment tomorrow morning and it's a 45 minute drive. I'm not looking forward to that. Yesterday was too much for me. I started getting chest pains after the earthquake and then I passed out last night. I'm just getting up now. My left foot and right arm were numb. At first, I couldn't stand up but now I'm ok. This numbness is what my doctor's appt was for 2 weeks ago when they called a code on me after he did the tests. I hope that all of this doesn't cause my surgery to be cancelled. My blood pressure was very low in the hospital but when I took it at Rite Aid on Friday it was very high. I could wind up in the hospital on Tuesday. It's always a possibility when I go to see the doctor. They know that I won't go to the ER on my own so they'll call a code on me.
Oh, my! Be very careful going out. Watch reports on tv for your local conditions. You need a BP Monitor of your own!!! Thats what you can use your ECB's, etc on!! Omron is a popular brand. And an Oximeter.. too!!

Of course, the best reading is in doctor's office. The self administered ones at drug stores can be waaay off.
I was told even the home devices can be off, and to compare reading of these with doctors reading soon as you can. This way you'll know how much the difference is to keep that in mind when checking yourself. But, at least you'll have a general idea.
Maybe you can get it checked at at CVS Health Hub in the mean time.

The weather is fine now. The folks in the Bay Area have it much worse on a regular day than it is here now. I don't know what the weather is like in NJ but you probably have it worse, too. We're whimps in SoCal compared to you guys. A little breeze and we're running for cover. lol
Seattlites are weather whimps, too. Maybe not so much about wind, but if it hits 90 degrees here, we've got extreme weather warnings and every newscast includes information about how to find a cooling center and reminders to check on your neighbors. To be fair, it's at least partly because we have it so good that we're not prepared. The percentage of residences with air conditioning has risen a lot in recent years, but I'm pretty sure it's still less than half. A few years back, it snowed and didn't warm back up for....I don't remember, maybe a couple of weeks. It was crazy. Near the end of it, the freeways were completely clear, but Greyhound buses still couldn't get to the depot in Seattle. After that, the city broke down and bought a few more snow plows and relaxed prohibitions against de-icing agents.

If it snows here and accumulates at all (an I mean *at all*), nothing will get done before noon at the very earliest...even if it's melted by 10 am! LOL

We get winter, which a lot of us don't like. Like, real winter with snowstorms and bitter cold. Husband says we are moving South when he retires. Other than that, it's lovely here. But it's too cold for around five months. We did have an earthquake here about fifteen years ago. It was VERY minor. It seemed like about half of people noticed it and the other half didn't. The half that didn't notice it felt left out. I was sitting on the living room floor with my baby son and felt weirdly dizzy, but I also have bad vertigo, so I wasn't sure. But then I looked up and the ceiling fan was swaying very very slightly, so I figured it out. I remember one Facebook Friend had a picture of a lawn chair knocked over as a gag, but it wasn't even that bad. If you weren't really paying attention, you missed it.

A group of us went to Portland in June 1991. It was ridiculously hot because no where we went had ac that was intended to deal with the heat - not even the really nice hotels! Funny thing is, the temperature there never even hit 100 until late July of that year. And we're from Texas!

Today is day 45 of 100+ degree temperatures here. I think last Friday it was 110. There is a small chance we won't hit 100 tomorrow or Wednesday. I'll believe it when I see it. Most nights, it's still 90+ at 10:30pm. Few people are doing much outside unless it's the only way they can make a living.

I learned awhile back that snow here is just not worth dealing with! Most people don't know how to drive in or on it, mix in those folks from up north who act like it's nothing, along with a lack of ice/snow prevention equipment, and I stay inside when it's icy or snowy.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't survive in Central New Jersey winters. I feel really lucky my parents moved from upstate New York before I was born. Wink
