And why are you home instead of still in the hospital????????

You got me thinking. When RA took away the 20% discount for having a gold card, we all thought it was a bummer but now I don't think so. You get the same price for any card that you have. If you've maxed out one card, move on to the next. The status doesn't matter because you'll get the same price. It does suck if you only have one card.

The biggest challenges at RA for me are
1. Dealing with the Bonus Cash Challenge.
2. Deciding if I'm going to break down and start doing rebates.
3. Buying a car with a bigger trunk that will fit all of the stuff I'm getting.

#3 is the most urgent. When I was in the hospital, all I was thinking about was how many days of the RA sale I would miss. The doctor would come and give me some medical news and I'd tell him if it's not about Rite Aid I'm not interested. Then he asked me what pharmacy I use. Um, duh. Actually, its Vons because they were the cheapest and the people at my pharmacy are very nice and there's almost never a line. If my insurance doesn't cover it, they'll get me the discount all on their own. I had to go to CVS yesterday because Vons wasn't answering their phone and there's an opioid shortage (probably because of Alex Murtaugh) and my doctor wanted to make sure that I got it. Vons has a much better system for organizing the filled prescriptions. At CVS, they were thrown all over the place. I was very surprised. I thought that CVS would be ahead of everybody else. It's no wonder that everybody gets upset with the CVS pharmacy. It can take them 15 minutes to find your prescription. Anyway, just killing time. Another 45 minutes before I have to go see the doctor.

Hmm, haven't looked for a long time, but at my biggest CVS, they have them arranged in divided shelves in alphabetical order. Still would take a minute, but it was organized. Geez thats terrible your store is such a mess!! Mention it on the surveys they send you when you pick up your Rx.

Alex Murtaugh...hah, I'm so confused now. Its been a while since the trial and I did keep up with it, but is it Martha that did an interview with the surviving son? Its going to be on Fox Nation, which I'm not subscribed to, but should be on Fox News one of these days.
From the previews, kid seems to say that someone else killed the Mother and Brother, then the opposite. I was confused. Hope to see the special. Alex was a lulu, What a bastard! And then there's that boat accident. oy.

I couldn't believe that they had the bags thrown all over the place. I'm glad that this store is the exception and not the rule.

Murtaugh had an unbelievable oxy habit and it wasn't laundry. He took so much that he really could cause a shortage all by himself.

My catheter is out and let me tell you it wasn't fun but I feel like a (Paul) Newman now. Or maybe a (Steve) McQueen when he's riding the motorcycle in the field. Hell, I'll settle for Clutch Cargo. ​

At 3pm Fox News with Martha Mc Callum did long segment on
Murtaugh. His lawyers found out alot of info on the Court Clerk,
her book (!) gave some insight into her opinion on the case, which
of course, she shouldn't have put out publicly. Problem is, she may
have said things during the case to the jurors that may cause them
to get a new trial !! The lawyers have been on tv today about it. So
far, 2 jurors spilled what she said.

So now I'm firmly in the camp that I hate the new SD format. I had to
go back and edit my post because half of it was blocked out by the
useless right margin. S'momma asked about why people edit their posts.
You're going to have to add the new SD format as a reason.

I am abosolutely dreading the new format.
In the merging threads, I don't understand the technical stuff people talk about. How to fix this or that, etc. ugh.
Maybe ask in the main merge thread if there is a way to fix that margin so posts don't get blocked out.

There is a way. Go back and edit it like I did lol. I absolutely hate the right margin. I didn't realize that it was what everybody was talking about. The old format was fine. There was no reason to change it. The new format certainly isn't going to draw people to SD. It makes the site more difficult to use.

I won a $250 gift card in FA on my son's account. It was a GREAT game for us.

You don't live in SoCal. Vons hates SoCal and gives us 19 cent deals while everybody else gets everything for free. When I said I don't know anybody who gets good deals I should've qualified it with in SoCal. I go to Vons twice a day since I live next door to one and I won nothing. Oh, I take it back. I got a recipe. All of the deals that I used to get like $5 off of $25 stopped when the game started and didn't come back. The only alternative I have is Ralphs and they're just as bad. Now Vons and Ralphs want to merge. That will be so bad for SoCal which is why I'm sure that it will happen. I want to move to SF. Rent might be more (although I don't see how that's possible) but I'll make it back on my grocery bill. I want to clarify that I'm not upset with you (that would be stupid) but Vons can go fark off.

If you don't believe me about how much more expensive Vons is than where you shop we can compare prices every week. You can make the list and I'll get the prices at my store. You'll very quickly see how much Vons is ripping us off. Here's one to start with. How much are muffins on your half price cart? They're $4.99 here. They used to be $2.99 but the CEO came in and told them to raise the prices. When they do the Friday sale, muffins go down to $5. Nobody buys them so they go on the half price cart a week later for $4.99. That's a 1 cent savings. Whopee! It's party time!

You know what I really hate about Vons? How they make you buy 2 things of ice cream to get the $2.97 price. I only want one. I got so mad yesterday that I flipped off the sign. I broke down and got 2 and guess what the one I opened had freezer burn. There's 6 bucks down the drain. For 6 bucks you can probably buy your store.

Sorry. Thinking about Vons gets me super pissed off.

No worries from me, I'm not taking it personally. CA is more expensive than most places on most things, so I don't doubt your groceries are more in general than ours.

I sometimes get jealous over the special deals folks in CA get at SW, but have noticed more recently more of them are in NoCA than SoCA.

Seems like it's time for you to pick another store to shop at.
