I saw alot of those sandals....do people buy them at flea markets? There was a lot of sandals and summer clothes left everywhere.

Call the surgeon's office first thing in the AM. Don't go to Wags. Do not collect $200. Do not pass go.
I was interested in the sandals for me. They are very comfortable and fairly priced especially for a buck lol. I have no idea about the flea market. I haven't been to one since I went with my dad 30 years ago.

I already contacted my primary doctor. He's a different doctor than my priority doctor and the primary doctor is in charge of my case. He always wants me to be very specific and I'm a very general person. I'm like Trump in that I'm not very good with my words. I try to answer how he wants me to but it's really hard. I can't describe my pain other than it hurts. I'm sure that he'll get back to me in the morning. I let him know that I wanted to go to a different hospital if I have to go back in.

Th doctor should be asking follow ups then. Does it burn, ache, stab, etc? He should be suggesting descriptors if you cant come up with them.

I hate the 0-10 scale. Like wtf? I dont even remember what 0 pain feels like (does anyone)? My baseline on a great day is likely a 3....should I shift that to mean 0. That's the one I always hate answering.

Yeah, I have a problem with the scale, too. I told them that I was in 9 or 10 level pain (and I was) but it's nothing like what a burn patient must feel so I think that it's only relative to how I feel at the moment rather than an absolute scale compared to every pain in the world. I think that they use the scale to figure out the level of pain meds to give you. It's easy to figure out. If you say 5 you'll get tylenol. If you say 8 you'll get something better and if you say 9 or 10 you'll get the grand slam and probably be admitted. I don't know why anyone would want to be admitted to the hospital but to each his own.

When I was in the ER the last time, they had two psych patients in the bed next time me. There are some weird people out there. One guy was banging his head against the outside of a bar when they picked him up. The girl was on drugs that you can't take alcohol with and need I say more. The sad thing is that they probably told their friends how weird I was. The guy in the next bed peed in his pants. I'm still embarrassed about that. I had no idea that the catheter leaked and there was pee all over me. I was wearing light gray sweatpants so it was very obvious.

I think that I may be out of the woods. I stopped bleeding last night. I don't know why but I'm not complaining. I did this once before and then all of the sudden I started bleeding again so I'll take it one pee at a time. It still hurts a lot. I've got a feeling that there's a big chunk of my prostate that won't come out. They blasted it robotically with water and then sucked it out thru my urethra and yes, it's as painful as it sounds. I passed something a couple of days ago and it was a really weird feeling that I can't describe. You know, when you're in pain, you can't sit down with a notebook and write down how you feel. There's no way if the pain is a 9 or 10. You're in agony. If somebody is very specific about how they felt at the time I would tend to not believe them. I certainly don't want to relive the experience by thinking about it and trying to describe it.

I think people say 9/10 in hopes for really good meds, not thinking they'll get admitted. And I'm sure some nurses assume that someone saying a 9/10 is because they want to get really good drugs. So if a nurse is just going to guess how bad your pain is, why do you even have to answer the question at all?

If they were both psych patients they probably weren't even paying attention to what was happening around them if there was too much stimuli. Even if they noticed you, I bet they don't even remember.

Oh, I know and I don't really care what some guy who bangs his head against the wall thinks about my prostate surgery lol.

It takes a long time to be admitted. You'll get lots of attention for the first half hour and then nothing for the next two hours. You have to hope that your tv works and sometimes they'll offer you an ipad. Make sure that your bed is in the right position before they go because the controls aren't on the remote and you can be uncomfortable for a long time before your nurse comes back. Once the labs are in, the doctor will talk with you and give you a general idea of what's going on. He'll order a second set of labs and you'll wait another 2 or 3 hours for the results. The doctor is interested in the trend (are you getting better or worse?) more than the actual number in my experience. Then he'll call your doctor and decide if you'll be admitted. It's another 3 hours or more to find you a room and odds are it won't be a private one. There's always the loudmouth in the next bed who's on the phone 24/7. The whole process can take 12 hours and that's only if the ER isn't crazy busy.

LOL I think this my be my new saying, Im taking life one pee at a time (because, as you know, sometimes one whole day can be a bit of a stretch)! Glad you seem to be doing better, hope it holds.

I dont think I was asked the stupid 1-10 question when I was attacked. They just kinda jumped to the highest level. At first I think I was just in shock and was concerned about the stupidest things anyway so any answer I would have given would have been strange.

Yeah, trauma would be completely different than what I was talking about. My situation is usually where they go by what I'm telling them. They can verify what I'm saying by doing an EKG and there's the first problem. I have a weird heartbeat. It looks like I'm in A fib when I'm not. The machine will say critical but I'll say that I'm fine and they'll go with the machine. Then the cardiologist will look at my EKG and tell them no, he's not in A fib. They should have listened to me lol. The really bad thing is that when I get to the floor and I tell them hey, I'm in a lot of trouble and they ignore it. This happened on my last visit. I took my blood thinner for the first time in 2 weeks (due to my surgery) and had a bad reaction to it and couldn't breathe. I was on telemetry and everything looked ok so they didn't do anything to help me. I'm going to end up seeing a psychologist over it because I seriously thought that I was going to die and it went on for a couple of days. They even discharged me while this was going on. I will never go back to that hospital again. I'm afraid to take the blood thinner now which is real problem because I have to take it. I won't do it unless I'm the hospital and they tell me beforehand what they're going to do if I have another bad reaction. Drugs aren't candy. You can die from this shit.

I'll rep her then lol. What the hell is a 666?

I went to RA and Wags this morning. RA was awesome. I got a 144 oz Tide, 92 oz Tide, and 2 Dove women's body sprays for $7 inc tax. That's not counting the P&G rebate (which I'm not going to do) and the BCC (which will make the deal a mm). Did it 4 times and in & out in under 10 minutes. Then it was on to Wags. I did Crest and Febreze on 3 cards and got two 7/25's and one 10/20. Wags was a little tricky on the Febreze Air $2.30 dq. The price was $3.29 on most of them except on the ones that the dq was for. They were $3.99. It made the cost for an Air, Plug, and Fabric Refresher $1 ea after tax. It wasn't what I was hoping for but with how prices are going up every day I'll take it.

What is the best thing to buy at CVS with just extra bucks? I have to do $10 and $20 orders. Is it a bad idea to buy anything and return it when I'm feeling better?
