Yes, I totally agree, she is the most knowledgeable and best I've seen. She has helped me understand a lot.
Y'all make me feel so dense! I don't know if this is all something I saw and have chosen to block as time went by, or something I missed altogether. I mean I can think of two people who might qualify as the most knowledgeable about all things couponing, but I have had too many sleeps in the time I've been on SD to remember any of this now.

I'm hoping it's because I tend to let bygones be bygones. Either that or I have early onset dementia. Frown

I think it's called getting older and can show up at any age, lol. My theory is the brain can only hold so much information and eventually some of it goes somewhere else; I don't even want to think where or what part of the body!

I have a friend who would have been 65 in August. She died in 2020 and had dementia for at least 5 years before she died. Even before she passed away, she was young and beautiful. To look at her, you would have thought she was 45 - 50. She was just a little bit older than me.

I seem to be doing a lot of whining, but really that's not my overall attitude. My handicaps keep me from doing as much as I might otherwise and make me a less valuable contributor to the discussion, but if I manage to at least get just over $31 of Listerine and $19 of Softsoap without screwing anything up, I might still be envious of others' hauls, but I'll be pretty happy. Will check out stock and some prices when I go to get that and maybe end up with even more to be happy about.
No, it doesn't count as whining when talking about P&G! LOL Those are the rules! P&G is beyond frustrating.

Anyway, thank you for your comment. You were right to not believe me. I tend to exaggerate and get a little dramatic at times when it comes to couponing. Unfortunately, that's not the case with my medical situation. I wish that it wasn't as bad as what I'm saying.
.......I mean if I had a dollar for every time you threatened to quit CVS, I could quit CVS Roll

Anywho.....Summer snacks are on clearance at CVS this week. They're 75% off and include Kind Bars, Welch's fruit snacks, Wonderful Pistachios, Rind, etc.... I think this may be the biggest discount we'll get on these items. Food doesnt usually hit 90%.

Summer coolers were still only 50%, but the items like summer cups were 75%. I didn't get any skus because Brickseek doesnt work for clearance anymore but I'll post pictures in a bit.

I was talking about Stax as being the best couponer I've seen on SD. I'd put you on my list of all-time CVS greats. It's a short list - you, Stax, and Rydergal.

You and CVS are like that scene from Brokeback Mountain when Jack tells Ennis "I wish I knew how to quit you" LMAO

Once upon a time there was a clearance thread. I have no idea where it is now, lol. I think there used to be more variety in years past with summer foods. But this store didn't have the usual suspects like oreos, goldfish, etc.....but I think I've seen them at other stores in the summer section. No idea about the pricing. I only got Kind and Rind lol

Our summer clearance is still 50%. I guess the store managers now have more latitude to set their own sales.

Well, I still don't know who you were back in the day (see, I'm really dense!), but your list is great. I'd add a couple more to your list, including KMA and slayers750 and a few more whose SD names escape me at the moment.

These situations are always sad to me. For a few years before my mother ended up in a nursing home, she lived in an assisted living four bedroom house with eight residents. One was a 40 year old mother of four young children but didn't know who they were due to early onset dementia. It was so sad. I do not know what happened to her as she ended up moving to a facility more equipped to deal with dementia.

I never saw the movie but I'm familiar with the author. I have a first edition of Brokeback somewhere in my storage. It's a very rare book but I doubt that I'll ever find it.

It's better that you don't know. You might not like me anymore if you found out lol. I would put Celestialdigs and Kiki on the list for doing the hard work every week. Slayers was before my time and KMA doesn't ring a bell.

I narrowly escaped having another code called on me today. My pulse was at 40 and if it drops below that I think that they have to call a code. At the end of the visit, the doctor left the room and said that he'd be back in a couple of minutes. Then the nurse came in and wanted to take my vital signs again. Luckily, I was a little over 40 this time so they let me go home. I'm probably at 40 almost every day of my life. It's weird walking around knowing that I'm so messed up that I could have a code called on me at any moment.

I got sent over to the lab and they took 10 vials of blood and a urine sample. Then I had to go to psych. I told the nurse that I wanted to see somebody about almost dying in the hospital a couple of weeks ago. She couldn't schedule anything because she needed a more specific referral. There's something funny about that. I have a bunch of tests and doctor's appointments that I have to schedule. I found out that I have neuropathy. I never knew the results of my nerve test because they called a code on me after the test was over. Neuropathy is the least of my problems. The doctor told me that I was at high risk of having another heart attack because I'm off of my heart meds. i can't go back on the blood thinner because it almost killed me the last time. I have to see the cardiologist and I also have to see the heart surgeon about re-opening my chest. I don't know how much more of this I can take. It's one thing if you're going to get better but when there is no getting better it's too much to go thru for nothing.

Well, at least you didn't get admitted to the hospital and can continue to spend down your store money. Was your recent surgery considered a success; at least that's one of the reasons I thought you were seeing the doctor today. Did your neuropathy come from one of your meds? I've known folks who got neuropathy from certain meds but am not sure which meds those were. Take care.

I think that's part of it, but I do wonder if biweekly stores are on a difference clearance schedule as well? I have a few stores that are different prices, but I haven't checked at a biweekly store yet to see how far they've marked down summer stuff.

Yeah they really put in the work week after week heart Especially when it's sooooo slow around here because the deals are all dried up.

I really have only had a couple of folks here who really tried to attack me over the years. Considering how long I've been here and how vocal I can be, that's pretty good. I absolutely don't remember any of them being men though. Wink

If Slayers was before your time, KMA was absolutely before your time. LOL

I am very lucky to not be in an area where they have the two week ad.

I did see on iheart where one store had a bunch of the automotive section on a great clearance - pictures and all. I went in fully expecting our store, that tags almost nothing, to have the clearance hidden. Nope, nothing in that aisle was clearanced. I scanned at the coupon center about 10 items and they were all full price.

I think it was easier on me when corporate was controlling clearance and we could use skus to check inventory on Brickseek!
