Amazon's had this deal in the past too, or similar to it. Still expensive for what you get, so I had Best Buy price match and used up some rewards. Ended up around $40 total

Honestly this is for those of us that either grew up with the 1987 TMNT or played the original games in our youth. I happily paid full price on release and would do it again. If you're casually interested by no means buy this. Digital sale options exist for the standard release.

Will I pay extra for a Kevin Eastman designed cover? You bet I will.

It really has nothing to do with being cheap. There are many things wrong with the gaming industry, but for physical collectors, a mass produced limited/collector's edition game with about $5 worth of extras for $150 MSRP? Long gone are the special editions that included unique items, steelbooks, and other unique things. Now everything is a few enamel pins, a post card or two, some trading cards, a small poster, and maybe some stickers or a keychain. They prey on the collectors with FOMO. I'd say from the deep discounts, this is one of the titles that didn't do as well as they had hoped. If this was a $20 premium, it would be cool.

The game itself is a lot of fun though. I recommend buying the game, just not the collector's edition of it.

ONCE in a while, but yeah, Woot! is not what it used to be. Amazon buying it made complete sense, but taking all of the charm and fun out of a single daily deal was the end of it. They added 10 different categories, added tons of items under each category, and then muddled it with hundreds of other items for sale. It kind of reminds me of Amazon's old Gold Deals or whatever it was called. Old Woot! used to range from some weird electronic thing you didn't need, but was so cheap, it was hard to say no. I still use the wall mounted Bissel car vac. I didn't know I needed it until I got it.

You guys should check out meh.com. The guy who started Woot! went on to create it after seeing what Woot! became. It's like the Woot! of old.
