it is "pro" cause they're going for the high end, productivity, demographic. Like office work, meetings, etc. that's why they have that weird design with the screen on front so others can see your eyes..it's so that you're not "closed off" from the outside..

it's a different demographic they're going after

I don't have this one, but I have a very similar one and I like it alot. Very easy to put on and off and just turn the dial to the correct tightness. Really makes it easy when more than 1 person will use the headset and you don't have to mess with straps to resize. Makes me more likely to want to pick up the headset when I know I'm not going to have to fiddle with it.

Remains to be seen, they might change the size or configuration of the side clamp thingies. I would not purchase this with the expectation it will work on an unreleased future headset.

Everybody get back to the office... so that we can have virtual meetings. VR can be good for consuming media... not sure it's going to do much for programmers or excel...
