In case you ever run into a similar situation in the future (or for anyone else on here who works on their own junk and inevitably runs into something similar), every little bit of an advantage helps.... try using a product called Seafoam Deep Creep. You can get it at Advanced Auto and it's pretty pricey, but this stuff works absolute magic compared to other penetrants when trying to get off really stuck hardware. The key is using it in conjunction with a torch since it's not flammable like PB Blaster is, and it really creeps like crazy if you heat up your hardware super hot with the torch then spray this stuff on there to rapidly cool the parts. Do that a few times, then try to remove it while it's hot with an impact. Be careful not to try to overdo it with the impact on the first few tries if it still won't move... but if you heat it and soak it a few times then impact it again while hot, it should come out eventually. I've yet to find a bolt or nut that I couldn't get off by using that combo, and that even includes stripped and rusted out exhaust bolts on 15+ year old New England cars.
Will do! Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, squelching heat with penetrant a few times for each lug was definitely required with the stuff I was using since it pulls the lube in as the penetrating fluid cools the parts.

Like you said: "every little bit of an advantage helps" so I will definitely grab a can for my tool cart!

DEWALT 20V MAX XR 1/2-in High Torque Impact Wrench. Delivering 1030 ft-lbs of max fastening torque and 1400 ft-lbs of max breakaway torque

Holy smokes, is this overkill for Car and most truck repairs?
Lol yeah that's true. I have the Milwaukee version with OneKey. It still brand new, haven't had a chance to use it in real world applications yet. Been reaching for my low and mid torque one only.

How long have you had it? At some point last year they had to stop selling the 2767 "B" variant of their comparable half-inch high-torque impact because the design was not holding up. If it's the 2767 make sure it's the A or C+ variant. If it is the B variant, see if you can get it to fail sooner rather than later so you can go ahead and swap it out (Milwaukee will take care of you).

Good deal. I bought this a couple of years ago at full price when it first came out. Lots of reverse torque and makes it very easy to remove crankshaft pulley. It's pretty big though, not good for tight spaces. Had to remove radiator to get enough room to get crankshaft pulley bolt out. At this price, I would buy it and keep it in my car just in case I needed to change a flat tire on the road.

Online yep. Paid $216 shipped + tax. Chatted showed them the price. Their process is place order and then let rep know order # and they will adjust price. Just make sure to get approval first, some reps may try to check if they ship to your location and then may not honor it, other reps don't care. They can't do the PM for in store pickup, so you have to have it shipped, or you can try local PM in store, but they probably have to have a B&M store nearby to your location for that to work.

This is good enough to remove pretty much anything other than maybe the dreaded honda crank bolt or semi truck parts.

This has been out for less than a year, so you probably have a 899, which is still a monster imho.
