Got these last time at this price. Pretty good, but they were super bulky. Had to get rid of them. But I'm just super picky.
Thought they were going to be proportionally smaller like the 32lb/24lb non expandable ones but they actually use the same size handle from the U90 EXP.
what's the benefit to paying $99 more for these than the ones that were posted a few days ago ? Those were expandable, and these are not (negative) , so there must be some big differences in the plus column too, right?

This one is available? I got the full set from the other day ago so didn't buy these but figured I'd post. This is a good alternative to the Bowflex 552 and these are the pro version so take that as you will.

Yes, this one is available, but I'm asking (besides immediate availability) what the benefit of paying 50% more for a non-expandable set is? There must be hidden / better features or something that I'm not understanding.

The PRO models are coated in plastic that makes them clank less. However, it has been found that the plastic also was put at some critical wear spots and can cause premature failure on some models.
I like this set because the plates are 5 lb which is faster for switching. If you know you don't need more than 50 for now, get this. Then sell them when you outgrow 50

Not sure if they fixed the flaw from the urethane in the newer pros. But here is the info. https://youtu.be/PeeAOs1qw3s
Pretty sure they changed the technique since they got sued from those particular particular versions lol. Seems like the rubber is more fused now with the metal compared to before. I haven't read anyone complaining about the Pro models become shitty over time.

A few key features:
- Urethane coating for both increased durability and reduce/remove rattling sounds during use
- the top 'entryway' for your hands is wedge-shaped, giving you more range of motion compared to the sport versions
- Pro Series models have a non-welded "flex" weight block design. This means that the block rails that connect to the end plates are bolted together, rather than being welded together. This gives the blocks the ability to shift or rotate slightly (see photo below). The practical benefit is that they can absorb impact from accidental drops better than inflexible welded designs. This feature, combined with the Urethane makes the Pro Series dumbbells much more durable.
- Sport Series models have a welded weight block design. If accidentally dropped, the blocks are more likely to get warped because they have no "give" to them.
I got mine from the previous Woot at Amazon deal, while one of the weight plate damaged from the shipping, Powerblock customer service really stand behind their warranty and sent the replacement right away.
I already changed the handle to knurled handle from Average Joe, I don't really like the original fat handle for my small hands.
Also just bought the Pro straight attachment bar from Powerblock, while they currently have Fathers day 10% off promo.

Thanks I just bought one! I would have gotten the Sport Exp but stage 1 is out of stock. I'm a beginner that can only dumbbell bench 30 lbs right now so this will do haha.

Update: actually, mine was expandable. So this makes me feel better.
