Both ram and ssd Are upgradeable and the ram is DDR 5. Also backlit keyboard

Additional discounts can be obtained either by chatting with online reps and/or signing up for staples rewards (2% rewards for <$1k, 5% for over 1k)

Sorry folks the ram isn't upgradeable. I found out the hard way when i reconfirmed after having brought the device and seeing one review that said it didn't.

Dang, hopefully they don't give you too much grief returning it if you go that route. As for me, I'm torn, 8 gigs but that model supposedly has a touch screen, so tempting but I like my tech to be a little more future resilient...

I bought it, slots in nicely between my low end (4gb Pentium), high end (32gb i7), and gaming laptops.

FHD touchscreen, 3.6 lbs, thin bezel, fingerprint reader, blue case, 13 Gen. CPU and card reader check all the boxes for me.

I thought this seemed like a decent deal for a non gamer, but it's getting no love here. Any recommendations for something else with a large, good screen like this, and modern, efficient processor? Usage is just office apps (like Excel) and browser.

I got the device for 350 after tax with all discounts etc..they said I could return it in two weeks and i thought for a 13th gen laptop I wasn't getting a sweeter deal than this, so decided to keep it.

One thing I learned the hard way is to never rely on the sales rep alone for specs. I asked the sales rep who brought a manager who confirmed it was upgradeable and tried to sell me additional insurance for the device. Man do your job right then upsell me.
