Needed a basic touchscreen laptop and this seems to be one of the best deals. I needed the following and this has it:

Pros:

touchscreen FHD (lenovo spec sheet confirms touchscreen, a little vague in description)
intel latest gen
backlit keyboard
full function usb c port (power delivery and monitor support)

Cons:
soldered 8gb ram only (not upgradeable)
256gb ssd. I will be upgrading ssd. It is a stupid size which sucks, 2242 ssd.

For some reason it's tough finding all of these specs on a budget laptop.

Yea, that's something I found as well. Lenovo really likes using the smaller 2242 size for their ssds.

Great find, by the way!

Latest gen intel, 15" FHD touchscreen, near $300, good stuff.

Yes, you can upgrade the Lenovo ideapad slim 3i RAM up to 36GB.

It's mentioned in the Lenovo specs. page: One drive, up to 1TB M.2 2242 SSD, though I am confident that it should have no problem in taking a 2TB or 4TB if you could find one 2242 with that large capactity in the market.

That's not reliable. I have seen the same but also mentions the slot is 2280.

Y​es, I watched it and understood.
Similar things often happen. In this deal, Lenovo said there is no slot for storage upgrade but only the original eMMC. Actually, it has a M.2 empty slot.

i3-1315U offers no advantage over the i3-1215U. It's +100 MHz turbo clock (4.4 to 4.5) which is insignificant (+2%).

Might not be a bad deal because of the touchscreen, IDK.

Its ~ 80 less (329 vs 250) but Touch screen, Backlit keyboard, Wifi - 6 and full support USB Type-C is not there. Maybe worth paying $80 extra for this one.
