I've bought this for my class and home and I hate it. The tray always slides out with the vibration of the sharpener and the adjustable hole makes it easy for things to get trapped inside (yes, they shouldn't be going in if they're too short but second graders aren't really the best at pencil responsibility😂)

Don't worry...I know what I said and I'm laughing too.

My wife says the same, she has to tape the tray shut. It's in no way robust enough for the classroom.

For all the teachers out there, if you are buying an electric pencil sharpener you should go onto ebay and buy a used Panasonic electric pencil sharpener. Panasonic stopped making these around 20 years ago (which is why you will only find them used) but these are the best pencil sharpeners out there - more than 20 years later they still work! These pencil sharpeners were made in Japan with all metal parts which is why they last and are better than any pencil sharpener made today. The KP-77 is big enough for classroom use.
