8 Gbs video card is almost doa, even a 12 GBs I feel is just a little bandaid and will be good for a couple of years only for 1440p and above. At this point I am waiting for the 5000s with 16 gigs.

Costco MSI Aegis for $300 more gets you 13th gen, 32GB 5200mhz, rtx 4070 12gb, 1tb nvme, 2tb hdd, and it's not proprietary where you have room for upgrades. Can't oc the cpu is only the downside, but the turbo boost is faster than this 12th gen at 5.2ghz

This is incorrect. You can upgrade the ram, but enabling xmp may be an issue, not all oem's allow it.
'Will' be an issue. You will not have access to advanced XMP settings in the bios.

Some do have it, that's why I said "may". Dell has been slowly allowing xmp enable in bios. Unless you know exactly how every single one works, every single bios revision works, there's no point in using absolutes, because you do not know that.

Seems like deals are just getting worse. Around 10 months ago the 3080ti was $1500 after rebate, a few months ago the 3080 and now the 3070ti $1400. I wonder if people from last year are still waiting for "the deal" to come

Also the DDR5 is limited to 4400mhz due to lack of update for XMP

For what it's worth I got the 13900 / 4900 version of this PC this week and am extremely happy with it so far. I know it's a higher spec config than this, but the build quality is really nice. Also my 64gb of ram is running at full speed.

Lenovo direct had a fairly wicked Memorial Day sale that stacked with a lot of CB, not sure if the deals are still active but this desktop get a thumbs up from me

Wow, I probably would have jumped on that one over this if I had seen it. Seems a lot more future proof. I'll probably see if I can cancel my order with Lenovo and go with this - anyone have any reason not too - for $300 more, seems your getting quite a lot more hardware. The only thing is, I do like Lenovo a lot, and I have no idea quality of MSI.

"May" be an issue. Regardless of whether you can access XMP settings in bios, you can just grab an old version of Intel's XTU and use that to set XMP on ram. While not a perfect solution, it still allows for fine tuning and basic XMP.

No, rbisy is not a deal. 4800 memory speed and a 8gb card for $1,400 is a total rip off. The 12700 is nice but really is gimped by other parts. This should be maxed $1K.

Probably the most nicest (standard) pre-built system. But I would pass on this deal because the video card. It will already be limited with 8gb even at 1440p.
I can confirm, I bought a Lenovo Legion with a RTX 3070 a while back for $1700.

Like everyone else has said 8gb is worthless now even if it's a TI. I picked up the HP omen 25L for less than this. It's all AMD but after discounts I got a 12gb 6700xt and ryzen 7 for around 1k

What's the reasoning for 8gb or 12gb from Nvidia?

My 1070 is still rocking for everything gamepass related. I figure a 3070ti would knock everything out of the park?
I'm pretty sure you're only gaming at 1080p or below. I still own my 1070, but have since upgraded to 1080Ti followed by a 6800XT so I know.
