Just here to confirm that two in parallel will NOT produce 240v, it would just double the wattage. It took a bit of research and want to spare anyone from making an expensive mistake! It has to be 240v to begin with as you mentioned.

This inverter is not 240v. If it was, and you did a parallel kit with 2, it probably would. It would also likely needed a soft start on your AC, with reduces the surging power need of your unit. With heat, maybe. My heat is gas, but the electric portion of mine is 120v for the blower. So I could use my heat with this.

Hi All. Price drop on this 4500W Dual Fuel Electric Start Champion inverter generator. Now $696.46, but I also had a 5% coupon which applied at checkout bringing it down to $661.64 before tax. Seems like a solid price for this type of inverter...

Thanks. Is there a website or YouTube channel for learning these type of things. I'm looking and generators, solar panels and power stations and the devil is in the details. It seems too easy to be a n00b and make bad decisions so I get it. I need to spend some time educating myself. But where do I start?

I'm still a bit of a noob myself, but I recommend YouTube and books. On YT, you might want to search for solar, off-grid cabins, and van conversion videos. Will Prowse's channel is very informative and deals with all those topics, although it is generally a hardware review channel. Still, probably the best channel for understanding how it all works.
When it all comes down to it, the knowledge you need is about powering up gear correctly and for the right amount of time needed - it doesn't necessarily matter how you do it - generators are only a single source for that power. That's why I like the van conversion scene (maritime / boat systems are catching up), because it basically teaches you what you can power and how. Other helpful van conversion channels would be: CheapRVLiving, Explorist Life, Humble Road, Tiny Watts Solar among others. Don't forget solar / off-grid cabin videos too.
I guess now, it would depend on how much time you want to spend on the subject because unfortunately, it's complex - let alone with all the quickly-evolving tech and consumer trends.

Or… spend a lot of money on people who have all that knowledge already! Haha

I couldn't find true sine-wave mentioned but it does say safe for electronics and <3% THD. Since it has the inverter, is it basically true sine-wave or does it fall short of that preventing the claim?

Inverter generators produce a true sine wave and should be safe for electronics.
