why is the app deleting the 'h' off of 'hold'?

8TB will be under $300 once YMTC ramps up production this year!
Um... Monopoly doesn't mean what you seem to think it means. Hynix has about the same market share as Kioxia, Toshiba and WD/SanDisk.

Samsung and SK Hynix's monopoly will finally be over and they can stop overcharging customers.

Crap performance, they get about half the read/write speeds of the good brands from samsung/wd. I wouldn't waste my money on this junk.
Wrong. Its only gen 3 so its speed is up there as fast as Samsung or WD.

even if performance are not accurate, it's still faster than SSD and priced better. if you have an open NVME port, this is a good buy IMO

Yup.. exactly on target as I predicted last year, by July we'd see this close to 150.

Only biting when 850x 4TB is around $159. Otherwise, meh.

Of course
, If you need one, then any of these prices are fine.

They're a no frills company, so there's no SSD imaging software that helps you transfer your existing setup. The reviews are good for the most part, but some have had bad experiences with warranty issues, etc. Lots of amazon reviews you can read.

So far mine is doing great, just using it as the large secondary drive.

While I love the speed over "spinners" There is no data recovery from these drives. Once a chip dies, that's it. At least it's possible to recover data from an actual HDD. Thats why I use "spinners" for backups. Just in case.
