A word of caution on these deals. I once bought from simple tire. Never again.
The tires they sent to me were 5 years old. This is how they provide most tire discounts. They don't have any sort of QC, they ship directly from different warehouse old stock tires.

They also tried to bill me to return the tires due to age, as they don't classify tire age as reason to return, at 20/tire.

They eventually accepted the return, and I left neutral feedback, noting that there is a propensity for you to get a really old tire, only for the seller to remove the feedback.

This is a fantastic trick to get old tires installed on your car without you noticing their age. Since they are shipped to the store and then mounted, their return policy does not allow a mounted tire return.

So good luck to you all, hope you don't have the same experience I did

any way to pocket the $100 instead of getting them installed? I don't need tires immediately and my tire guy charges $14/wheel…

Anyone going to pep boys / Firestone for tires is asking for problems. Picked my car up and it was vibrating bad due to poor balancing and they also broke my wheel lock key in the wheel lock itself by using an impact gun on it….

They did nothing for me except cause even more headaches when trying to fix it. Never again! Use reputable tire shops not these chains that hire people with no clue what they are doing.

I had to break the wheel lock off myself because no other shop would touch it…
That's going to be regional. For example, I bought tires at a Walmart last June and had to go back twice to get them balanced correctly. Meanwhile, I've gone to Firestone and Mavis and experienced no troubles with the tires. They balanced and aligned them right the first time.

This isn't working - item page has a dropdown to pick the installer where they'll ship to, then checkout page has ship to info all blank, and code doesn't remove the $99 charge for install. I'll deal with the idiots at Sam's club, at least I'll know how they intend to cheat me before I pay.
OK: I checked Sam's, same exact tires are $25 per tire cheaper than ebay, $20 per tire install fee so $5 a tire less than ebay deal, and I don't have to worry about b.s. at the installers. OK, I will have to deal with Sam's b.s. on the install, as every time I've been there they add on some mystery charge for something that's shown as 'included' on their sign, but at least I'll have the option to tell them pound sand and leave before my money is irretrievably gone.

This would be a trick if they only sold a specific tire... I am also in the impression that most tires are drop shipped to the customer.

And google gives mixed info...
1. How long can a tire last? Most auto manufacturers recommend replacing tires over six years old regardless of tread depth. Some tire manufacturers like Michelin and Continental give a 10-year limit

2. tires (including spare tires) more than ten years old should be removed from service and replaced with new tires. Verify the physical age of any car tire by examining the markings on the tire sidewall following the "DOT" symbol.

Carmakers, tiremakers and rubber manufacturers differ in their opinions about the lifespan of a tire. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has no specific guidelines on tire aging and defers to the recommendations of carmakers and tire manufacturers.

Not 100% sure it will go through yet, but there's a rebate on select Firestone tires that you may be able to take advantage of. I bought 4 Firestone Destination LE2 tires for $696 after taxes with the installation deal and submitted for a $60 rebate.

Good luck!

This makes total sense. I already wrote that what I got from Walmart (a highly reputable outlet) was far better than what ebay is offering not to mention the hassle of the hoop jumps.

So I want to buy four Toyo Celcuis CUV 225/55 17. These tires have just been discontinued a few months ago and we have them installed on our 2012 Subaru Forester... I installed them about 7 years ago and we still have 30 - 40% tread left!!! These have been the best tire I have every purchased... and they are approved for winter driving... these tire are for areas that have a winter climate and can still be driving all year around. They are called ALL WEATHER tires (not the same as four season tires).

OK....
I can't seem to find them. I can not understand how to figure out which sellers are accepting the coupon. AND... I found them as cheap as $125.52 each and I go to a local shop that charges me $30 to install each tire and will price match. I just think this is the cheapest option.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with free installation when it doesn't include lifetime rotations.

I minimize all tire-related costs and the quickest service for my money by buying lifetime alignment packages from Firestone for our vehicles and I typically ship from Tire Rack or other online tire vendors to them for $75 one-time installation including lifetime rotation. Unless your oil changer is rotating your tires for free, you're spending $20-30 every oil change-ish and you can minimize this total cost of ownership heavily.

I'll do 27 oil changes on my vehicle in 200,000 miles and that would be $540-$810 in tire rotations. You'll save many hundreds over the vehicle's lifetime if you have someone who effectively rotates for free past the initial installs.
