I would be possibly interested to use as a monitor but looks like it's not great at that

I was able to score the 55 inch version [amazon.com] for $109.99 last year so I'm hopeful/optimistic I can get this deal as well; thx OP.

Regarding the 55 inch, the colors were terrible and all washed out. No matter what I did, I never could get the picture to be acceptable.

However, when I connected a Fire Stick 4K Max and tried to adjust the picture quality while the TV was in the HDMI input for it, picture quality improved extraordinarily. Once I adjusted the Black Level and White Level via the Screen Test app [amazon.com], I saw a big improvement.

I set the Fire Stick 4k Max Display settings to the following before adjusting the picture settings when using the Screen Test app [amazon.com]….

Color Depth = 12bits

Color Format = YCbCr

Dynamic Range Settings = Always HDR

I mention all this because at first the 55 inch version of this deal made an awful impression and I'm assuming that the 43" version will have the same issues.

IMO you can improve picture quality dramatically by not using the built in FireTV OS of these TVs and using a Fire TV 4k Max stick instead.

Yup it was $130 or $139?? I had the same one from Best Busy BF 2019 and NEVER had any issues with it !! Foolishly, I ended up selling it when I upgraded to a 49" LG 4K last year I scored at WM for $100

Chalk it up to Regrets and mistakes in life Frown

I just bought a 43" Vizio from Sams club for $279. It's MQ6 QLED model. How would this Amazon tv compare with the Vizio?

It'll feel like you're saving $180. If you're buying a cheap TV, both perform the same. TVs don't change much until you pay more + OLED.

Who knows what criteria they use for the invites but I did receive one for the PS5. If it matters I have been using Amazon with the same account since early 2000's with (30-40K in purchase....min). I would assume they weigh many factors including $ spent and time registered to make sure scalpers aren't grabbing everything. If you are one of those people with 10 accounts it might harm your chances.*

*This is pure conjecture.
Maybe areas that have tons sitting in local warehouses *shrugs*

QLED is going to have better blacks and contrast than a regular LED. The LED has a limited number of dimming zones.

Not that I was actively looking, but for $100 for a kitchen TV sounds like a great deal.

I got in on that one. It's been flawless as our main tv in our family room. I saw so many of those pop up on Craigslist and FB marketplace for $400. That's one of the slickest deals I've snagged.

Definitely not the only one. I have my spare mounted down there but haven't used it much.

My beloved 3D 42" Vizio just became a glorified speaker the other day, and even though it stinks not being able to see anything, decided to hold off replacing it to see what the Prime Day (and competitors') deals are. Like others, I got in on the 55" Omni last year, which so far has been a very nice TV in the living room, which replaced a Fire Insignia TV which broke less than a week after the warranty expired.

I was hoping for a similar deal even though a 50-55" in that space will be a tight if not oversized fit, but I guess they're going with more stock over a super hot value. Requested invite, but I'll be keeping an eye for other deals. Thanks, OP!

I have to agree !! I have been a Amazon member since 2005 currently a prime member for 10+ years and I spend around $5K a year and they have NEVER said no to a return for AMZ gift card credit EVEN after the 90 day return policy !!!

Crossing fingers I get a chance at this TV deal next month !!

Was a leftover 2019 display model when I bought it April of last year and it had some black darkness on the top of screen when I first hooked it up?? But few LG updates later, its now gone !!! Smilie Has been a perfect TV with INSANLY loud speakers !! So loud you don't need a sound bar !!

That's why I didn't think twice when I noticed the "Display" LG 43" 4K UQ70 series for $175 out the door on clearance at my local WM Smilie
