I was able to score the 55 inch version [amazon.com] for $109.99 last year so I'm hopeful/optimistic I can get this deal as well; thx OP.

Regarding the 55 inch, the colors were terrible and all washed out. No matter what I did, I never could get the picture to be acceptable.

However, when I connected a Fire Stick 4K Max and tried to adjust the picture quality while the TV was in the HDMI input for it, picture quality improved extraordinarily. Once I adjusted the Black Level and White Level via the Screen Test app [amazon.com], I saw a big improvement.

I set the Fire Stick 4k Max Display settings to the following before adjusting the picture settings when using the Screen Test app [amazon.com]….

Color Depth = 12bits

Color Format = YCbCr

Dynamic Range Settings = Always HDR

I mention all this because at first the 55 inch version of this deal made an awful impression and I'm assuming that the 43" version will have the same issues.

IMO you can improve picture quality dramatically by not using the built in FireTV OS of these TVs and using a Fire TV 4k Max stick instead.

YouTube TV on a TV today is really quite a good experience and probably the closest thing to the Tivo experience available today. Trickplay is very fast and accurate, curation, scheduling, rapid switching between content. With a decent enough internet connection its about 98% as good as having a local HDD based DVR with high quality UX

ok, it is 8:37 am EST on 7/12 ... today ...2nd day of prime day, and no invite. Yesterday some members said they got INVITE at around 8am.

Not sure if more INVITES come today? Just reporting in to add to report on this.

Stupid tv, invite, email, waiting with no prospects, or time… you sure did succeed to keep you in my thoughts but I feel cheated and manipulated. This marketing tactic may have worked but I decided to stick to temu and Walmart. Fk amazon.

Nothing here also. Hope springs eternal. But then again, Amazon has fooled me once before. Shame on them. If they fool me twice, well, shame on me for expecting a different outcome.

... I get the feeling bezos wasn't overlooking this Prime Day. It doesn't have the "excitement" it sometimes has. It could also be underlining things going on behind the scenes, like stock market pressure, or government rules on corps to back issues the government is imposing. Also Banking concerns too for lending (lots of banks have gone under the last month or so. Amazon might be pulling back because they "know" the direction things will go. This Prime Day was a bust for me. And you too. I'm just speculating on why Amazon seems different.
