Wanted to purchase this for my child for his room but will just buy the 229 tcl 43 inch sadly. I saw on rtings it's similar
I would consider the 43 inch pioneer for $160

Deal of the day for Prime Members: PIONEER 43-inch Class LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV (PN43951-22U, 2021 Model) https://a.co/d/gi9ykIh

Here's a comparison video between the pioneer and Amazon omni that I posted here earlier.

https://youtu.be/bBBeJWjqeTk

I purchased the 50 inch version in a lightning deal yesterday, it was delivered a few hours ago and the picture is great right out the box

How can you run out of "invites" while still offering the TV itself at original MSRP? They are the ones who arbitrarily decide what an "invite" is and how many they hold and who is offered one. This used to be called Bait and Switch.

$2 video credit expires in 5 days, gee thanks.

Expires 7/19 at 11:59pm PST and "Please allow up to 24 hours for the credit to fully process" lol
You just have to claim it by then, and it's good for 30 days from issue date:

Promotional credit must be used by 11:59 p.m. (PST) on the date that is 30 days after the date the credit was issued.

Trillion dollar company making billions using simple and cheap tactic by giving a few self manufactured TVs (that no one buys) at a discounted rate. Unbelievable.

Lot of people talk trash but I went ahead and cancelled all the orders, subscriptions, and prime membership. I will go to target, and costco like a normal person. If I like to go nuts online there is always Temu and I can get room full of stuff for $100.

Fk amazon!!

Got my rejection email as well. I bought this 43" 4K. Roku is better than FireTV anyway.

I've had this TV for a couple years. Few weeks ago, I was in the process of mounting it above my fridge when I heard a crunch from the screen. Still produces an image but with a giant black bar at the top along with a 15 inch crack. My bad.

So, this $99 deal was supposed to be its replacement. I think I paid around $200 for it at Target back then. I'll probably just buy it again.

Na. It really isn't.

A locked-down ecosystem with no options for side-loading or custom modifications of any kind?

I'm shifting my buying power to temu as well... Similar or better return policy at much better prices with no annual fee... Shipping is 7 to 10 days which is decent as well.

The other day I just found $300 worth of return items that Amazon charged me again for because of their system glitch with ups... Had to call them and verify each item for the past 3 years. Some items says it's on transit after 3 years so they reversed the refund.... Had to go though with rep and spend 2 hours to get everything sorted out.

Go back to your order history, if you see anything that says return in transit, check with Amazon make sure they didn't charge you again

The amount of saltiness in this thread over a shitty $100 TV is astounding.

LOL!
You have no empathy? Is this true?

To some people, having a deal turn to dust, is disappointing. But just SALTY to you. Smilie

I have empathy for people who can't afford to put food on the table or struggle to have a roof over their head. Empathy for this? No. Disappointment is one thing, but what I'm seeing in this thread is not disappointment. It's entitlement.

You are entitled to your viewpoint and how you see something, and share honestly how you see something.

I see this Amazon SCAM of Invite only, since Amazon never shared how many of these tv's were going to be sold at this price, NEVER told us how they picked people, did they use AI to pick people based on some set of data points (hidden from us). For example, Hugh Corps are encouraged to have inclusion, diversity, etc ... and this is hidden from public. I suggested that LIGHTENING DEAL would have been better to have for this TV, we all see how many tv's are in stock, minute by minute, and we all have chance to buy it , and then it reaches 100 percent SOLD, there is waiting area that people are placed in, and the people that don't CLAIM item in 15 minutes, is then given to those waiting, in order of first come, first served.

This Amazon SCAM, was held for weeks going towards Prime DAY to get maximum PR, and then was dished out very slowly, and made people have to check their email every hour to find out if they were selected!

SCAM, ... and I am angry about this Amazon SCAM! And yeah, it's a cheap 100 dollar tv, but I'm upset about the SCAM! Over 666,000 people have been visiting this 1 thread! I have pity for the poor souls that got hooked by the Amazon SCAM!

Invites should be for "new-products that are prelaunch, so Amazon can get feedback on product, and improve product with beta testing as special pricing. Don't do INVITE for the biggest day on Amazon (prime day).
