That may have been what you meant but wanted to make sure that people don't feel the need to do a large grocery trip all at once.

I believe it works the same as many Amex offers where it is in one or more transactions per bonus, so 3 separate $50 purchases on the same card over the offer window will grant you the $10 (for the spend $150 get $10 crowd).
