-The upgrade options here are pretty good. You get two RAM SODIMM slots for up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, working in dual-channel mode. Storage-wise, you get two M. 2 PCIe x4 slots that support Gen 4 drives

Here's a review of what appears to be this laptop with a 4050 instead of a 4070.

Edit: I'm only seeing temperature information on Reddit and Blizzard forums so not going to bother posting links but the general numbers people are posting are 40-60c idle and 85 to 80-90 for gaming which is pretty standard temp ranges for most gaming laptops.

drivers will improve in time for the 40XX series. DLSS 3 shows dramatic improvement especially with games that are implementing it correctly. 40XX series cards help future proof by a couple of years IMHO.

4070 rtx is only about 10% more performance than a 3070ti according to Userbenchmark. Omen 17 deal was here last week for 999$ but much better screen and better cooli g due to size

Not. Check reviews. Performance is good on this.

One advantage the 4000 series has is much better efficiency, no thermal throttling of the GPU if the cooling system is decent.

***** Or maybe not. I see on reddit that the GPU power is only going to 85W. That would be a few % shy of max for a 4070 which tops out ~100W.

Yes, I've used DLSS 3 with my RTX 4080 and in the end I turned it off. I don't want fake frames and upscaling, I want pure raster performance. That's why I returned the 4080, the non-dlss performance wasn't impressive enough to keep compared to my 3080. If you're into upscaling performance then by all means, buy into Nvidia's marketing of DLSS 3.

I think the worst feature is lack of any thunderbolt port or at very least usb 4 that comes standard with Intel laptops.
