This is a great trailer and stroller from a company that stands by their product. Definitely worth it if you need this type of thing.
I have a D'lite trailer that's probably 15 years old. So not the same as this but an older, higher end model. I can say with certainly it is nicer than the Schwinn trailer. However, if I had to pay full price (mine was a hand me down) I would certainly pause.

As compared to what I have seen in the lower cost trailers (can't say this is specifically true of the Schwinn) they will typically have smaller wheels. The 16" wheels result in a harder ride for the people in the trailer and make it harder for you the motor to pull the trailer over bumps. The D'lite also has suspension but the Honey Bee doesn't so not an advantage there.

The Burley bike attachment system works really well. I haven't been as impressed with some of the other designs but perhaps that's just an impression.

The Burley has bumpers in front of the tires so if you catch a post or wall they deflect the trailer to the side and protect you from hitting square on the tire. That protects both the tires/axles as well as you the rider.

I think the build in stroller conversion is really nice though I'm not sure if I prefer the single front wheel that sticks way out or the short, double wheels setup I have. My setup requires removing the tow bar but it also means the stroller is short when setup.

A big thing I like about the Burley's is the trunk. Most of these strollers have the kids backs right against the back of the trailer. Not an issue for the kids but having the space behind the seats is great for food, towels, etc. Also, you *can* fit three kids if they are small and one is OK riding in the trunk Big Grin I have only done this is stroller mode.

The trunk might be the biggest advantage followed by the 20" tires (though others have the larger tires as well). Depending on your needs I think a cheaper trailer could be fine but at $240 I would have a hard time picking say this $190 Schwinn instead.

For only $50 more (both on sale) the Burley has 20" vs 16" tires and the large trunk and the bumpers in front of the wheels. That seems worth it to me. Heck the resale might also be worth it but I prefer to think of these things absent resale.

At this price on sale without suspensions and stupid third wheel design. Get something else cheaper and better. I got mine from Target with suspension for $150 on sale. Forgot the brand but it's yellow/green color.

Burley is great, especially at this price. This is a nice deal and definitely worth it.

I wish the Burley models with suspension (Encore or D'Lite) were included in the sale.

I have about a 12 year old D'Lite that I would love to upgrade. Unfortunately, none of the accessories I have purchased for the old D'Lite are compatible with the Honey Bee.

The Burley Bee (single seat) is also on sale for $174 93.

I would personally still go for the Honey Bee between the two options.

what's 'stupid' with the 3rd wheel design (honest question)?

From what I can tell it folds for those that go back/forth between trailer and stroller and can be removed for those that don't need it. My other similar stroller requires you to unscrew it each time you need to move it out of the way.. I'd much rather have it fold up if I still needed it to switch back/forth.

Looks like there is an updated version coming next month so they're clearing these out.

Does anyone know if you can move the seat/straps to the center for this model? I have 1 kid but would prefer they get room.

What a deal especially if you have the 20% off! My account does but I bought a used one about a year ago or would be all over this. Paid $150 but it was for the encore model, no idea what additional features it comes with but looks identical except in blue. Having the wheel is nice so you can use as stroller too. I think that attachment for mine was almost $100 (which I passed on).

Edit: actually decided to buy it. I think I will try to resell my encore. The stroller feature seems worth the upgrade. Thanks SDs, I knew I needed this a year ago buy not today.
