Last time I tried a WiFi dashcam, the app was super sketchy. Wanted admin permission on Android just to "enable screen rotation." Can anyone comment on the app for viofo?

For iOS it works, just slow. You usually don't need the app unless something happens after setup.

Watch the LTT video where they go indepth with how shitty most dashcams are.

In short, most can barely read a license plate at dusk and look like they're from 2011.

Not sure if I would pay $259 for 3 channels where the other two record at 1080p only. Maybe the single point of failure is if the front dash cam dies then the other two are gone as well.

isn't it a good idea to buy 3 separate of your favorite DashCam and install it?
It may clutter your front dashboard a little bit more and you still have the other two records independently if you have a power source in the back seat or trunk. Most SUV nowadays has that.

I've had this camera for almost a year now. Can't say I'm a fan. It overheats easily--especially at full resolution and good bitrate and with wifi on. Even when I was in Oregon it overheated--it would be a total flop somewhere hotter. Sometimes it loses connection to the third camera and beeps incessantly until it is powered down and back up. Other than those two problems, it is a decent camera. The app isn't very good but is functional. I wouldn't buy it again.

States that have a lot of transplants have the worst drivers, especially if they're coming from Texas or Florida. I have not driven in those states, but it seems like they either don't have traffic laws nor structures (lights, STOP signs, round-abouts, etc...). Also, a heavy concentration of lifted trucks and BMWs is another indication of terrible drivers, because they either have the attitude that their vehicle is bigger so they can do whatever they want or they have a luxury car that no one wants to hit. I've lived in NYC and LA, and Phoenix drivers were significantly worse.
