You can refund the executive membership less the 2% cash back certificate at the end of each year if you don't spend enough so there's no real gamble other than waiting in line and having them issue a refund once a year if you don't hit the profit threshold.

Not bad... Finally sprung for the Southwest Gift Cards... 2 cards.

Normally $450 for $500 per card x 2 cards = $900 - $20off for each card ($40 total discount) = $860 - $50 code = $810

From the $810, I will get both 2% back from Exec membership ($16 off) and 5% back from using my Discover card this quarter ($40 off). So $810 - 16 - 40 = $753 total net cost. For $1000 in Southwest GC's. Not bad at all indeed!

I asked their online chat person for one, this is what they said. Basically, they are targeting folks who've been inactive on Costco.com, but if you've logged in, they aren't sending you one. They are trying to get activity from people who don't go on there. The chat agent won't give you one either, so don't bother trying.

I tried it before, it was a month before the expiration date, Costco said, no such thing, so I just downgrade to gold membership and lost all the rewards

Got in touch with Costco chat. They said the coupon was for "inactive members that have not made an online purchase since 2020" so I didn't qualify. 😢 if anyone has one they won't use, feel free to hook a girl up! 🙏

Ask nicely over chat and say why being a regular customer you are not getting it. They will check and if you do not have a similar coupon in the past 2-3 years, they can try and get you one. YMMV but the one I got over chat did work.
