Wish I had one of these sooner. GDV surgery cost 1500x this (literally).

Sorry to hear that, but I hope your dog is OK. I was just reading about this yesterday and that it's fairly common problem in some breeds, and today I heard one of the dogs at the park I go to with my dog died of it at age three.

Hard to say for sure if it is just fast eating, but out dog also ate very fast and it was on our list years ago...his stomach flipped and we also had to do surgery. Got the bowl after. It slowed him down well. Now way to know but very possible we could've prevented it. It's been four years.

Thank you. Luckily that's over a year behind him now. Happened when he was almost 12 so it was less than ideal situation for him. Will always use one of these bowls for rest of my life having gone through the whole experience.

It's pretty good. I have a bulldog and she likes to eat fast. I have 3 of these and split food and put them far apart to force her to at least walk around, slow down her intake.
