I have no idea what it is about this toy but my small breed puppy LOVES it. I will caution that when you get the toy and pull the label hangtag off, be careful because on ours the little plastic pieces that hold on the label when pulled, pulled stuffing out the 2 holes it was attached through - and he spent a ton of time pulling the stuffing bits (thankfully not much) out of those holes. I had to monitor super carefully to prevent ingestion > blockage. I hadn't anticipated there'd be any stuffing in there.... that said, I got everything accessible out of the toy eventually without damaging it, and he still loves it. I bought 1 more and a croc because for the price it's keeping his teething sharky puppy needs off my hands and legs.
