Generally, adult dog food should consist of about 18% of pea protein, and a puppy's diet should contain around 22% to 35% pea protein with other essential macronutrients.

You should always try to validate the information you find from random internet searches. I doubt that there has been any detailed studies on this matter and without such studies, I don't think anyone knows. Dogs are not omnivores - they have evolved to eat meat. You are free to experiment with the long term health of your dog but I prefer to err on the side of evolution.

Humans have not evolved to eat processed food, and look at the state we're in.

Dude, do a bit of research. It doesn't take much effort. Some wolves have been known to eat upto 80% of its diet in plant matter.

Domesticated dogs evolved over thousands of years under human influence. These humans feed them many of the same foods that they ate and I can guarantee you it included a fair amount of plant matter. Thus 'domesticated dogs' evolved eating plant matter!
