Why would you accept this price for the first generation self emptying and mapping unit, which has a gross dust cone inside the self emptying base that isn't present on any other generation of the self emptying base?

Woot Refurbished had the AI Ultra 2502 with the new, 60 day capacity, XL self emptying bin for below $200.

Don't get this unit for $300. It's been offered for below $200 on last year's Woot Refurbished.

The lack of lidar won't change whether new or refurbished - you'll still have to keep track of it, keep your lights on, and help it out every other run.

Also keep in mind that the latest firmware for this robot was released in 2020.

What is this cone you're talking about?

I have Shark AV2501S right now. I believe it has LIDAR, and frankly this stupid thing can't even do sections of my simple apartment floor layout.

You have the upgraded self-emptying base where it doesn't have that. If you look at the reviews for the RV1001AE, you will find that those shipped with the first generation self emptying dock have a cone which will accumulate with debris and has to be cleared out. The new base is easier to clean out. What firmware version do you have on your robot? When was the last time you factory reset it?

I have not factory reset it in a very long time if ever. Firmware version is 1.4.10.
