I have a ~52 Quart similar type of thing I bought at Costco last year.
I used it for 60 days straight off grid, with 4 100w solar panels and a EB150 bluetti (solar "generator") which has a storage of ~1,400Wh.
It saved me buying ~$120 of ice, and the 10->20 hours going and getting the ice would have taken in total during the 60 days.

I bought something extremely similar to this about 2 years ago, and it was fantastic to have in the rental minivan while I drove my mom and sisters and brothers down to Florida from NC for a wedding. It was especially helpful due to my mother's diabetic medication which needed to be kept cold and you can set one side as a fridge and the other side as a freezer so we were able to keep the lobster tails and steak frozen and then keep sodas, water, and her medication at proper temps on the Fridge side. It was also very helpful being able to just wheel it right into the hotel room and plug it up and then just wheel back out to the van after check out instead of having to fight for space in a mini fridge that doesn't ever seem to work at any hotel, ever. Now the bad side. Unfortunately, that was the only time I ever have used it and it's driving me slowly crazy trying to find another opportunity to use it to help justify how much money I spent on it. Lol. It's a very "cool" thing to have (my dad jokes are gettin strong now that I'm 40) but also an expensive bulky extra thing to have around in the shed or storage collecting dust. It's great if you think you can actually use it and intend to use it more than once or twice. it could always be plugged up in a garage and left as a mini fridge for beer and I imagine this would also be great for something like a pop-up camper that doesn't have a fridge. And if the power goes out, you could always plug it into your car theoretically to keep meat/medications cold or anything such as a power station that has a built in 12v car (cigarette lighter) plug.

Despite everything I'm glad i bought it.

Hard to justify the purchase. You'll still have yo buy the battery and panels if you want that power option. Then the question of how you use it. I think it only makes sense for off grid living. Even 3 day camping, ice will last long enough

Go with the Anker Everfrost if you really need an active cooler.

It's more expensive, but it has an integrated battery.

By the time you buy an equivalent battery for this, you're going to be in the same price range for a lesser unit.

Methinks it's mostly a crap shoot anyway when it comes to these smaller, "not-'locally made units.

Having written that, they are also offering a 85Q model for around a $150 more:

DEAD NOW. PRICE IS AROUND $663 for the 85Q model ( I incorrectly typed 1p0Q earlier but fixed it)

The reviews on amazon are for something else all together. AKA the seller reused a listing to keep the positive reviews. SUS!

Wait? Several refreshes and it seems to be the right reviews? IDK amazon messing up tonight.

Google LG compressors for refrigerators. They die in 2-3yrs and and cost about a new fridge to replace.

There are a few class actions against them for it.

I'd stay away from anything and everything that has an LG compressor.

Nah, Setpower and Iceco are the leaders in these.

I have a Chinese 52qt and ecoflow 720wh. The cost is not just relative to ice. It's stopping to buy ice, draining the water, dealing with soggy food, ability to transfer frozen food, not having to check the ice. The real benefit of these coolers is convenience.

No need for battery.
Pretty much if you're thinking buying one of these, you already have some kind of power station.
This fits for people that goes camping a lot.
