Brother if you haven't been using 2.1 DP then you've been missing out, also I don't know where you're spending $100 on 2.1 DP cables. Man some pulled a fast one on you...

2.1 DP cables are like 3x more expensive than 2.1 HDMI cables. I'm not dropping $100 on DP cables.

DP 2.1 cable is like $15-$20 on amazon. If you are buying a top tier GPU and use HDMI, it is a waste. If you dont have high refresh rate monitors, you can get a much cheaper GPU and use HDMI ports.

How do I get the coupon option? The price I am seeing is $929 and no option for coupon.

I logged in on my phone using the Amazon app and now I see the deal. Order place.

Not a 25 foot DP cable. I keep my computer is a separate room because to minimize noise, so I need a 25 foot cable. 25 foot HDMI cable is dirt cheap.
I haven't seen a 25ft vesa cert dp80 2.1 listed anywhere yet. But there are 15ft DP2.0 cables that are going for $40 in Amazon but I'm not sure I can trust the listings.

Anyway, if you're gaming, then dp is the way. If you're multi monitor DP is the way since you can daisy chain if your monitor supports it. especially if you're running 25 ft of cables.

HDMI 2.1 is 48GB which is plenty for 4k120. But like you said, if you need to run 25 ft to multiple monitor set up, that's going to be difficult. Is you're insisting on using HDMI then a splitter at the endpoint is probably best for that.

Really tempting considering it comes out to 890 with the Citi deal, less if you use the discover deal and even less if you can get the Amex deal.

Ummmm displayport was first designed as the multimonitor port.

Great card for a Linux/SteamOS console PC build. Currently running HoloISO on a 5800X3D/7900XTX build as a game console next to my PS5 with an 8BitDo 2.4Ghz wireless gamepad and it runs like a dream, GoaT game console for sure.

What the other person doesn't realize is that the DP 1.4 spec was designed to account for 4K 144hz. It runs totally fine for me, we don't even need 2.1 for that spec
