There was an ugly video card just like this during the pandemic. It was the only one that you can buy while everything else was sold out. I didn't buy it and just used my onboard video chip. It was the worst graphics and this ugly video card and was glad I toughed it out. It would definitely gotten me better graphics using this compared to the onboard video chip though...
I know appearance shouldn't have any buying decision and should be based on the cards performance but for me I also go for video card appearance.

This is a good option if you looking to build a small form factor gaming pc
Sorta. Its great if youre absolutely going for the smallest gaming PC, but most SFFPC cases are now designed with longer cards in mind. I'd also argue against going for the tiniest builds, as there is no guarantee these short cards will always exist, as they are a niche, and some of the boutique SFFPC cases are $200, so you dont want to wind up with a case that doesnt fit future high performance cards.
If you absolutely must have the smallest card possible for a SFF build, sure, but after owning a single fan card before, from a noise standpoint I wouldn't even take one for free. As soon as the action gets heavy in gaming they tend to sound like leaf blowers. I know that everyone has different tolerances for PC noise but if you hate fan noise, I probably would avoid a single fan card.
