Also can the points of the cards be combined together?
I ended up transferring the capital one points to Singapore airline and redeemed it for a round trip business class flight from LA to Bangkok for 180k point. The flight was about $4k if you pay with cash. So I got about 2.2 cent value. That's probably one of the the best value. Otherwise there are also other travel partners. Of course this is very YMMV but there are good value redemptions out there. Other people might prefer to stretch their points for more trips on economy.

As for point value, I don't consider expensive F/C as a valid "value." It's nice, don't get me wrong, but if you wouldn't regularly shell out $4k+ in cash for a ticket it's like claiming you made $5000/hr just for sitting through a 2 hour timeshare sales pitch because you bought a unit and used their $10k off voucher. If you regularly do fly top tier FC at full price, however, then it really is worth that redemption and I apologize. ;-)

Cap1 will price match other booking sites if you call. It's a little more work, but I've never had them deny it.

They price match other booking sites
It's not, but maybe they are a bit of an unknown as far as their decision criteria? Capitol one is one of the first unsecured cards people coming back from bankruptcy are often able to get.
