Kroger has run sales on phone refill cards on the 4th of July weekend with 4x Fuel Points thrown in. It's usually a slightly better deal if you value the fuel discount. So far I see the 4x Fuel Points, but no additional discount on the cards. The Target deal runs through Saturday, so I will wait a day or two to see if Kroger runs the full deal this weekend. If they do run the deal, most folks would want to wait until Saturday to buy to get the fuel points valid through August.

6/28 - Bought 3 on desktop, 4th cancelled
6/29 - Bought 1, cancelled. Was less than 24hrs from previous order.
6/30 - Waited over 24hrs, bought 6 in the mobile app using a VPN, 7th cancelled

The cancellation clock seems to reset every 24 hours

Kind of a pain to keep going back every day to get another card, but I have enough for 11 months now... I got one $100 card, so I don't have to worry about adding cards or having them expire with AT&T.

Maybe next time I'll try the Target app since a few people reported better results using it.

I had a 100 TMobile card and only showed $5 off when checking out.

Can you use these to start a new 365 yearly prepaid plan account, or do these only work to renew your existing account?

Also, am I understand this correctly? You have to buy $50 balance cards separately in 6 transactions and have the Target Debit card for an extra 5% off?

True, for the most savings you get one $50 card. I'm not sure how it works with T-Mobile, but with AT&T the expiration date will be extended for a year when you enter the larger denomination.
