Direct Tools Outlet offers FACTORY BLEMISHED (not refurbished) Ryobi gas pressure washers with Honda engines. Price is 449 at HD.
As I understand it, DTO legally can't sell NEW items as they're licensed to HDepot, but they often sell new under the name FACTORY BLEMISHED.... which is what we have here:
Edit: I didn't know DTO was doing a big sale, 50% off a lot of stuff. See other slickdeal.

Got this same power washer from Direct Tools at the beginning of the year thinking I'd gotten the deal of a lifetime for a Honda engine. These Ryobi 3300 (GCV 200) units have a huuuuuge defect that Ryobi is aware of but they still continue selling these when they shouldn't. Within 24 hours of use, they will leak oil like crazy. If you browse it's non-sponsored/seed reviews on Home Depot you'll see that oil leaks are way too common with these units. I've been trying to get a hold of Ryobi to do a warranty claim/ try and provide me a solution to my defective unit for over a month now with only 1-reply from them that they will escalate my issue.. I'm a Ryobi fan thru and thru but I'd run the heck away from this thing. Even if it was $50… it wouldn't be worth the headache.

I have seen that on a few reviews. that's unfortunate.
I bought this a few months back when it was something like 279 with free surface cleaner and soap cannon. It's done a really good job in the few times I've used it.
Only thing I've noticed is that the total stop idle thing is inconsistent as hell. Sometimes works perfect, other times you have to wait for it to pressurize and other times you have to go hit the throttle on the engine to get it to go. Quite annoyed with that. Hopefully it's not a consistent problem.
DTO charges $15 flat shipping no matter how many items you order so check out the other sale items as well for virtually free shipping.
Whoa. I just paid $164 for that surface cleaner by itself and haven't opened it. I'm going to order this up just to have a spare 50' hose, and the surface cleaner.
edit: nevermind, holy cow, I've never seen such bad reviews for a pressure washer. So many oil leaks and so many people talking about hose failures.

A few minutes just submitted the order. Got the one with the surface cleaner that someone linked for $15 more.
Previously had a Ryobi pressure washer with a Honda Idle Down engine and it was the absolute worst pressure washer I've ever had in my life. I don't expect more than 1 summer's use out of this one, but for $250 shipped to my house I'll go ahead and give it another shot (and will end up regretting it too).

Where did you read reviews for this 3400psi unit? If it was HD, many of them include pictures and they are of the wrong unit, not the 3400psi one. Can you provide a link to bad reviews that specifically mention the issues with model RY803423?
edit: I see the hose issues on Ryobi site.

With pressure washers, everyone talks about engines, but nobody wants to pay attention to pumps. If you want quality, get a Karcher pump.
It's only got a GC Honda engine, FYI. If you want a pressure washer worth its salt (or any outdoor power equipment), get one with a GX engine.
Thanks for pointing that out. I thought the Honda badge alone made it a solid engine but I'll have to do some research. I have an electric one I have for car washing but this seems like a very solid deal for my driveway. There is one at DTO with a 16 inch surface cleaner for 215 that seem like a better deal but also had GC now that I'm looking at it.
I went ahead and ordered this unit even after reading the reviews and watching the YouTube videos. The oil leak seems hot or miss and from what I have seen it's the valve cover sealant. I'm hoping that they resolved that but even if they didn't, it's an easy fix. Remove 4 bolts, remove old sealant, apply new, let it cure and issue is solved.
I'll keep my old Simpson unit with the Honda GV 190 engine as a backup for a bit after I get the new one just to play it safe.
The features that I like on this unit compared to my old unit is the idle down, the foldable handle, the multi-nozzle, the soap container, and the longer hose, all of which, my older unit doesn't have.

And I assume the 3400 PSI with GCV 200 has the problem.
