You and me both. I paid less than $200 in 2019 for my RX 580 and I've found it difficult to stomach paying $200 again for a card that is only 50-75% faster. I think I'll continue waiting and move to 1440p or 4K with a higher end card next year. Hopefully prices continue to fall.

This is an excellent little card. Got it for $135 from Microcenter (open box + coupon). Has been rock solid. The best thing about this card is just how small it is, which works really well in my small form factor case. It is also very power efficient, with a power draw of only 130 or so watts, which again works well to keep temps low in my small case.

Running at a 60fps cap and lowering the voltage I was able to play consistently on HIGH using only 62watts and a 65c temp. Excellent card at this price. I am using it in a i5 4th gen rig. Yes there is a huge bottle neck but I like AMD and wasn't going to buy the 6500xt at the same price. I got my 6600 for $150 through CC points & coupons.

I have this exact card. It's a beast at 1080p. I was surprised at how hot it runs for a 100w card. The stock AMD fan profile keeps the max fan speed ~50% which let the card get up into the 80°s. Playing with the fan curve a bit, I can keep it in the 60°s and low 70°, but it does get relatively loud. I wear headphones though, so I don't care.

My son has an 8gb 480 it's pretty much exactly the same as a 580.

Performance on everything at medium at 1080p has seemed pretty great 🤷

Sent this card back to get a 7600. Its great, especially at this price, for 1080p gaming. Default fan curves sucks though.
