If you just want to pick up songs to play, rocksmith is ok.. but it's not as good at teaching technique.
Fender play and justin guitar will teach you in a way that you can play any song you want once you get the tab. Or more advanced justin guitar methods you'll be able to transpose on your own and play along.

I got 3months free from a previous SD a couple years back and all the instructors seemed like college kids forced to record lessons for an assignment.
Or any recommendations for instructors to follow for an intermediate rhythm guitar and bass player?
