I purchased from the same seller about a month ago and the watch works great. Fantastic for the price. I love the MIP screens.
How's the battery life?

I work in an office, so no sunlight. I've never ran it until it died because I plug it in on Sundays. I get about 12 days according to the built in battery meter.

Fenix 7 Pro is the latest gen released in May 2023 and Fenix 7 is the prior gen released in Jan 2022. Fenix 6 Pro was released in Aug 2019
I wouldn't call the Fenix 7 pro a later gen than the non-pro.

Great watch and price. I bought my 6X Pro (non solar) for $300 last December, which was by far the best deal I found, so this is right up there if you want solar. You're unlikely to see a much lower price than this.

As for the watch, it does everything I need and is accurate for speed and heart rate (and obviously distance, pace, maps, etc). I use it for mountain biking, hiking and running and have had zero issues. 6X Pro easily has over two weeks battery charge for my usage and the Solar will add a few more days to that.

Wow seems like crazy deal. What am I missing
You are missing deal posted 3 month ago. The same seller had a sell of this watch and others for lower prices, and that lasted over 2 weeks or so

Description says the solar is only there to extend the time between charges. I'll never buy a watch I have to actually charge, tried that and its too much work. My casio Gshock has alot of these features and can be sustained just with solar.
Your G-Shock has GPS, heart rate monitor, displays maps, plays music to your Bluetooth headphones, can make mobile payments, displays notification from your phone, etc?

Garmin's Pro designation indicates a minor upgrade rather than a more advanced model. You can check the MSRPs for Pro and non-Pro models and they should be the same

The 6 series is finally the first Garmin that works mostly how I want.

The 5 series just was always lacking.

And they are still doing software updates, not just fixes for the 6 series.

265/965 are new releases I will wait for a good deal. Only downside with them is AMOLED screens reducing GPS usage time a bit, I guess Garmin has beefed up battery size though

My phone already does all that. As soon as these watches have replaceable batteries, I will buy. They are just disposable gadgets until then.
It's okay for you to not be the target market for this watch. Just let it go.
