The Smartest House[thesmartesthouse.com] has select Zooz Z-Wave Switches, Controllers and Sensors on sale for the 4th of July. Shipping is free on orders of $99+.
This model is being upgraded to new 800 Series Long Range and is currently in low stock. We hope to release the new version by the end of the summer.
The transition from mosfet to triac was based on the growing trend in the LED bulb industry where most newer bulbs are built for triac dimmers which have been more available across the board. The move was motivated by our attempt to increase LED bulb compatibility for the most popular model.
We also found that some mosfet-designed bulbs would damage the components in the dimmers due to frequent circuit surges. The additional hardware solution to tackle this issue would bring the price of the dimmer to over $45.
At the same time, we're still working on optimizing the dimming performance by revising both software and hardware, while keeping the prices affordable.
Titan water in the same sentence? TOO SOON!

800 series? Oh come on I still haven't installed half of my 700 series from previous deals 1-2 years ago!!
How are the zooz USB sticks? I intend on... one day... finally switching over to HA. I think I have the 700 series aeotec stick? Would love to use the "best" accepted one.

I have it plugged into a 5bay Synology running HA and it picked it up without any issues. I have about 30 zooz switches and they all work seamlessly...famous last words
All this new stuff are triac based dimmers. I miss the mosfet stuff that worked great with all my lights. I went in on the last sale and all my lights flicker. Now to read online about a cheap bypass capacitors or pay $19 more for each switch to add a fibaro bypass. Annoying. Seems Zooz knows their cost cutting measure would be a problem for users given the docs online which essentially say "you have cheap bulbs use a mosfet"…but they don't sell any anymore.

What are the nice led bulbs though?
