Would have been faster for you to Google "what is Atmos" than ask the question on slickdeals
but in general, it's a way for audio to be more immersive and have vertical sound. true Atmos needs speakers in the ceilings, but many sound bars can simulate atmos by having upfiring speakers that will bounce sounds from the ceiling back down, simulating Atmos speakers.

If you simply need an "inexpensive" sound bar to replace your TV's crap sound, this all day.
Sonos has a great platform and expansion opportunities down the road. I LOVE my Sonos ARC, Sub, surrounds setup but you can't compare $1,600 to $300. But this standalone Soundbar was my second favorite option when originally shopping for a system.
Ok, what is ATMOS? Explain it to me like I'm 5 please?

I have the Bose 900 in the living room. its great if you want something simple but way better than the TV speakers. Crisp clear sound with volume and some bass. Looks classy and its flat...so it doesn't block the bottom of the TV if you place it right in front of it on a TV Stand. IIRC, Bose offers apple airplay and Sonos doesn't? One thing to look out for, my Bose 900 disconnects like once every few weeks or a month...I need to unplug and replug. I bought this bose 700 for my basement though...too good of a price to pass up.
i bought this a few months back. for the SonyTV, it's great most of the time when it controls it correctly. Every once in a while it's annoying to get the inputs to connect to TV. Recently the remote went dead for no reason. I contacted Bose support and immediately sent a new one out free of charge.
I paid $450 in January on the costco deal then. I'd say for $300 its it's not bad. I use it all the time because my Sony TV sound sucks.

I bought the soundbar 300 when it first came out. The sound quality is really good. I don't even need one but bought one anyway. The price is too good to pass. Buy now think later

"Unfortunately, the port for wiring a subwoofer is a proprietary Bose port, so there's no way to use it with a sub from another company."
