Nicely done. I have redeemed 2-3M points over last 4 years but this is super impressive. You can have multiple trips in business and live in any hotel you want 😀

Thank you for sharing! Definitely better than the 70k! Maybe there is a 90k in the branch but will need to confirm when I go in next time.

I sent you a DM hondaman82 if you're able to check Smilie

I see 75k plus 15k for the referrer. So, it is account based.

My wife had the previous 80k + 15k before it changed to 60k + 15k..any idea if might change again and when ? Trying to decide if I should directly apply for 80k or wait for either 75k +15k or 80k + 15k referral from my wife?

They keep changing it. So you might get in future. But nobody knows how soon.

Checked my wife's referral and her page says 75k, but the link lead me to a 60k... has anyone run into a similar issue?

But why would he do that instead of redeeming for cash and buying more properties and earning even more money? Having loads and loads of money is way more fun than flying somewhere or staying in a hotel.

Good job collecting the points... but someone needs to mention that keeping points unused is essentially giving Chase a 0% interest loan on the cash value. 40M points is 400k converted to cash, and with MM paying 5%, you're losing 20k worth of interest annually.

Everyone values luxury differently, but for me, the marginal benefit of a business class flight for example isn't 3x that of an economy flight. Similarly when you visit a city, you can spend 3x as much on a hotel but you're typically not going to a destination for the hotel. These are the two things that you can spend UR points on. Local experiences requires cash and if I splurge that's what I'd splurge on.

This only makes sense if you, personally, only value UR points at 1 cent per point.

Which is horrifically low compared to actual value for flying in the pointy end of the plane.

Getting 4-6 cents in business, or 6-8 points in first, isn't terribly challenging.

Even getting 2-3 cents a point for coach or hotel rooms isn't hard.

Typically business is 2x, not 3x, of coach points wise... but often a LOT more than 2x for cash.

That's where a lot of the value is.

I'm flying to Japan later this year- arriving after a 14 hour flight, fully rested and ready to go, (on top of well fed, etc) is essentially buying me a full extra day of vacation on both ends of the trip instead of being exhausted for 1-2 days each way from spending 14 hours each direction in coach.

But again, even if you DO fly coach, you can do 2-3 cents a point typically, so taking the garbage 1 cent cash value is still setting $ on fire unless you just never travel at all, which sounds boring AF.
