Just the controller is 18.99 on wyze website, free shipping with Amazon prime pay. I know a lot of people including me have cams from previous deals. I have 4 free ones sitting here where home depot shipped me 8 (four 2packs) instead of the 4 I ordered.

Since I have a number of externally facing Wyze cameras already, I was about to bite... Figured I better check the most critical reviews and the most recent reviews before pulling the trigger - which has caused me to decide to pass. If you sort the reviews so that you're looking at the most recent ones, you'll see an overwhelming amount are pretty negative - ranging from the door repeatedly opening itself to the open/close button regularly not appearing on the app.

i just ordered 2 of these, seems like exactly what i need, but does the app require a subscription to use? I saw one of the reviews say they no longer offer video playback from storage... so is cloud storage subscription required also, or inaccurate review?
