Lg compressor issues are fixed. Stop spreading misinformation. Additionally its 10 year warranty on compressor and 5 year parts and labor on sealed system, 2 year costco warranty on everything as well. Buy their 5 year all state warranty and use a Sapphire card for 1 year extended warranty if so concerned.

Both ice makers replaced and I am on my 2nd compressor in 2 years. Stay away from this one even if it drops to $500. Total POS.

LG compressor issues are not fixed. I have 2019 LG fridge with nothing but problems. Thankfully I bought extended warranty. Would never buy LG fridge again.

There isn't an extended warranty anymore with costco credit card. Return policy is 90 days. After that Costco will make you go through manufacture warranty. Because of how complex and pricy the off the shelf parts are for Samsung/LG almost no appliance repair person carries them or wants to repair them. LG/Samsung as well as the rest of them have reimbursement rates so low for warranty work it will be months before your broken fridge is repaired.

citi ended the warranty extension. I remember a few years back when chase ended theirs on the free cards they said they suffered a $500m loss. Citi is doing it longer (and shit breaks more frequently the older it gets - can only imagine the losses - especially since costco items are high price)

Lg's compressors as well as samsung are linear compressors. Do a google search for lg compressors. They have had class action law suits. Issues arent limited to compressors either. The sealed system is also an issue.
