Great, very happy to pick this up for a project in the near future. The small battery is a nice bonus since I only have 5.0 ones (plus an 8.0 and a 12.0). The lighter one will be nice for smaller tasks, which will be particularly nice with my drill and impact driver. Mil discount worked with it as well (always seems to work online for discounted/sale items but never in the store).
If you're a drywall installer, lol.. kind of a waste to buy this without at least one large drywall project ahead of you.. this is a very specialized tool not good for much else.

Yeah I have a garage insulation project coming as well as a basement install. I'm a DIY guy but idk the next time I would use it afterwards

Same here. For the diyers, this is probably a one time use and won't be touched again. I've looked at a drill attachment adapter for sheetrocking for around $20 but the reviews aren't great for any particular brand.
I bought one because whoever did my house (4 year old construction) I don't think understood how drywall works, literally every panel has screw pops (loose screws, in the multiples not just one or two from settling or framing drying out) - hell they probably used one of these to do the install. So I've worked through a few rooms adding screws above and below all the screw pops (so hundreds of screws at this point).
As much as I have tried to use this thing, it is extremely inconsistent in the depth it drives regardless of mode (auto or manual) - which is puzzling since it has a depth you set - but all I can figure is the clutch when it kicks off the screw it typically does so just a bit too violently.
Maybe mine is a lemon or I am just an idiot (engineering degrees point to otherwise LOL) - but finding a setting that drives just under flush and not through the drywall paper consistently has been like finding bigfoot.
In any event every time I have tried to use mine I have always ultimately ended up just going back to my impact or a regular driver, it slows things down a little since you have to think and baby your trigger but in the end is less of a headache for me. I have tried dimple bits also and found they aren't a whole lot better.
Also while it's nice it has reverse on it to back out screws, pulling the head off and changing direction etc is just clunky and having to pop it back on.

< 6% 1 star reviews
"Reviews aren't the greatest" ..lol
Less than 50 people who have bought this tool have given it a 1-star review.. and most of those seem to be either user error or bad batteries.
