Ocean Spray = 29 grams of sugar contained in 1/4 cup. If you shop other vendors such as Traverse Bay, you can find lesser sugar, organic, AND 23 grams of sugar in 1/3 cup. We pass on Ocean Spray here...

Yeah, 29g of sugar in a 40g serving... so almost 75% pure sugar, it's impressive really.

Ocean Spray does make a reduced-sugar version that is 13g.

It's really, really hard to find cranberries WITHOUT a ton of sugar added. These are so damn cheap, under $2 a pound... meanwhile low-sugar or no sugar added versions are like $15-$20 a pound (or more).

I like to put dried cherries on salads but it looks like Sam's Club might have stopped carrying dried cherries? Not even seeing them online anymore at least not the 11oz bags we've been buying for years. We are in MI (where a ton of cherries come from) so not sure to do now?

100 % agree 29 grams sugar at 40 g of product is COKE class so nothing healthy at all anymore

Maybe that's why they use Cane Sugar.

I'd like less sugar, too, but the cheapest I've found is 12oz/2.00 at Harris Teeter on sale. So I'm in. I like to add them to my overnight oatmeal.

Good for muffins or quick breads, just adjust down the sugar in the recipe to account for all that you are getting in the cranberries.
