FYI these deals are usually for non-discounted plans: Magenta, Max, Go5g, Go5g+ (one and simple choice might qualify). Spring customers, military, 55+, metro pcs may not qualify. Either way it's best to confirm if you qualify before adding the line, otherwise it's YMMV if you add it on your own without checking.

Sometimes these deals require going in store and limited time (24-72hrs usually). It's completely free (taxes & fees not included). If you have a tax inclusive plan like magenta, then everything is free (you might still have tax/fees of 10 cents or so... pointing it out since it triggers some people). Free as long as you don't close it. If you removed any lines in past 90 days they must be added before you can add another lime that would be free. If you cancel any lines within 12 months from adding the free line you lose the discount.

You CAN port a number in while adding the free line or later down the road. If you port the number OUT later, you might lose the free line. You can remove lines after 12 months and it won't affect the free line. Generally, you can't get the free line & a free phone promotion, extremely YMMV since it works for a few people, but I wouldn't count on it.

Know the terms and conditions before making a mistake and ranting.

Edit* Terms & Conditions? 'Customers must have the "2023BYOD_P1" segment on their account in Atlas or Tapestry to qualify. Customers with no segment or "2023BYOD_P1 - Inactive" are not eligible. BYOD or FRP purchases only (EIP not eligible for life of line). Device Connection Charge is required.'

These never work with 2 lines for $70 55+ plan. You need to convert to a much more expensive plan to get the "free" one.

As a Tmobile "ONE Plan All in Promo" I've got 2 lines, for which I pay $80. I can never get them to give me a free line add on unless I change my plan to something that's going to cost me more.

Thank you. That is free line number seven for me.

The representative waved the $35 activation fee too.

Rep on app says my accounts eligible but I am having him double and triple check. This would be my 10th line, 6th "free"

Will see if they finally stop including the old legacy plans (e.g. ONE, simple choice), already have 4 free lines (more than number of paid lines lol). Current just one line shy of the max limit for my exact plan.

Anyone know if the rules on moving a phone number (not the line) from one existing T-mo plan to another are still unchanged, basically that you can't do it directly? I'd like to move my mother's phone number (on a paid line) from my sister's T-mo plan to one of my current free lines. Don't want to do a TOU (transfer of responsibility), because I understand that moves a paid line over, and still no way to get mom's number over to one of the free lines.

So planning to port number out to Google Voice first, and then port number back in to my existing line. Only hassle is my mother (in another town) probably doesn't know how to swap SIM's - even if I mail her the new SIM card, she'll need to go into the T-mo store and ask them to do it for her...
I have simple choice and we got two free lines back to back 2 years before 2 years.

This line is not eligible for free phones for the life of the line, not worth it.

What T-mobile plan you are on? How much approx you pay per month for these 11 lines?

You don't even want to know how much the people pay with over 8 lines...

Yeah many pay almost nothing.. I joined the club and pay between 5 and 15 a month depending on if my parents don't get kickback

I have 10 on Magenta and was also told I was not eligible. Whatever, don't need the line right now and you better believe I'll get to 12 at some point.

I am hesitant to ask about eligibility for my service.

I had a lot of difficulty with the last added free line, too complicated to relate what happened here. The gist is that i lost all my free lines in adding the new free one. The problem was corrected with the help of great T Mobile service people.

I have ended up with 9 lines for $90, T Mobile ONE plan. I don't know how I ended up with this deal, but I am likely at the maximum number of free lines on my particular plan.

I may ask, but will not tempt fate..

Has anyone with the old One Military plan tried that in-store?
