FYI these deals are usually for non-discounted plans: Magenta, Max, Go5g, Go5g+ (one and simple choice might qualify). Spring customers, military, 55+, metro pcs may not qualify. Either way it's best to confirm if you qualify before adding the line, otherwise it's YMMV if you add it on your own without checking.

Sometimes these deals require going in store and limited time (24-72hrs usually). It's completely free (taxes & fees not included). If you have a tax inclusive plan like magenta, then everything is free (you might still have tax/fees of 10 cents or so... pointing it out since it triggers some people). Free as long as you don't close it. If you removed any lines in past 90 days they must be added before you can add another lime that would be free. If you cancel any lines within 12 months from adding the free line you lose the discount.

You CAN port a number in while adding the free line or later down the road. If you port the number OUT later, you might lose the free line. You can remove lines after 12 months and it won't affect the free line. Generally, you can't get the free line & a free phone promotion, extremely YMMV since it works for a few people, but I wouldn't count on it.

Know the terms and conditions before making a mistake and ranting.

Edit* Terms & Conditions? 'Customers must have the "2023BYOD_P1" segment on their account in Atlas or Tapestry to qualify. Customers with no segment or "2023BYOD_P1 - Inactive" are not eligible. BYOD or FRP purchases only (EIP not eligible for life of line). Device Connection Charge is required.'

These never work with 2 lines for $70 55+ plan. You need to convert to a much more expensive plan to get the "free" one.

As a Tmobile "ONE Plan All in Promo" I've got 2 lines, for which I pay $80. I can never get them to give me a free line add on unless I change my plan to something that's going to cost me more.

Here I am with 11 lines and will never contact any customer service sources, tforce or no. Very afraid of them raising suspicions and auditing my account. If they only knew how much my bill is lol.

Please don't contact me how much I am paying. Not gonna to say it.
How much are you paying?

A rep through the app chat said only accounts with less than 1 free line are eligible. That obviously doesn't track, guess I'll try t-force just to be sure

What happens to the free line if you want to cancel one of your paid lines in the future?

Don't know why the person you quoted is being like this. It's no secret what some people are paying.

As a DP - I pay $0 for my 9 voice lines (no more that $8 because of one line not getting kickback)

It is a bit of a hassle to spend 1 mnute to make the payment with your credit card. Just set a reminder on your calendar 2 days before the automatic payment from debit or bank account. This way you can charge it the credit card you want to and receive whatever percentage or mileage points.

Do you have to go in and make the payment with a credit card or do it online?

Also the point about a debit card was that providing your bank information to T-Mobile may not be a good option in that they have been hacked.

I think they are trying to get people off of the One Plan. When I went into the store a while ago, they wanted to look up my account and said they could do no better.

Just make sure you go into the privacy settings and turn everything to "opt out".
Then have T-Mobile disable the biometrics tool. This is why they scan your drivers license which gives them your photo. They can also require an additional separate photograph to confirm that your drivers license is valid. Don't consent to this.
What is the biometrics tool? Is that something associated with the phone or the account?

Should we also opt out of the mandatory arbitration clause?

Currently on a 2-line all-in plan for $100 including tax, and I have been with T-Mobile for close to 20 years. The customer service rep I spoke with, first lied saying there is no such promotion then I quoted the Reddit post then she "magically" found the promotion then lied again saying that the promotion is only for business lines. I'm kind of pissed now. I might take my account to some other carrier when I really need a third new line which will be during Christmas time.
I would check to see if there is a better deal for 2 lines than $100. That seems high. My paid lines (4) was $120. I think Max may be cheaper. You might want to check. I pay $129/month for 4 lines, and Netflix plus. I also have 2 free lines and I am paying/reimbursed for 2 free phones. All of this thanks to slickdeals.

Your 10th line doesn't change your Plan, so just cancel it later if it's not free. KB is only on lines 1-9 on those One Plan, even back in the days so I doubt the discount will apply even if you find a Rep to add it.
Some of the original very first offered free lines on the one plan you loose the "free discount" if you remove any lines according to the terms. Later on they changed the terms that allowed you to remove paid lines but the first 3 or 4 line on us promos did not have that offer.
