It's worth it just for the steamer (even without the popular youtube Rancilio wand modification), but the black ECP3420 has been on amazon warehouse Like New for months @ around $89 to $99 if you want it just for that.

The fact that one has to prepare the steamed milk froth separately and mix in the coffee manually defies the purpose. The quality cappuccino is made when froth milk and coffee is mixed in single cycle.
How do you think cappuccino is made? If you've been doing it any other way, youre not making it right.

You have absolutely no clue what you're talking about.

Holy mother of ignorant posts.
And this is not a cappuccino machine. It's an espresso machine.

I've had this one for a while now. It's a solid budget home espresso machine. If you like Nespressos, you'll love this one.
Espresso nazis will tell you it's not worth drinking anything not prepared by a $1200 espresso machine with coffee grinded by a $700 grinder and served by a barista with a haircut under $99.
Obviously there are levels. This one uses a pressurized portafilter, which means the crema is "not real" like in a traditional espresso. On the other hand, pressurized baskets are very forgiving about how you grind your coffee, so basically anything will work in it.
I got mine for something like 70 dollars from Amazon. You might wanna check the "Like New" options, mine was in the original damaged package, but the machine was 100% brand new.

Bought a similar discontinued model 10 yrs ago for $70. Still kicking. Yeah, espresso Nazis will go on and on. I like how mine brews better than my sisters $650 breville with built in grinder. (The hint here is, the grinder is crap, which is why it brews like crap). I pickup the best coffee I've ever had, ground, from my fav coffee shop and make americanos and lattes that everyone I know compliments for 13c a cup vs 3.50 at the coffee shop.
